unless it's a "huge neck" competition the idea that cannibal corpse is the best anything is ridiculous.

jrowa001 04-17-2008 11:39 AM

i could never get into anything Cannibal Corpse and Deicide have done.

Tyler 04-17-2008 11:40 AM

lol

rattle,
I haven't heard Choir Invisible, but I really like Assuming the Godform tbh

Have you seen their band pic on M-A? Tell me that's Jeff Loomis in the middle with the DARE shirt lol

yeah i've seen it lol definitely not him but it'd be hilarious if it was

well i only heard ATG once, and it wasn't bad but it just wasn't very memorable for me. And btw if you want it it's available here:
http://www.masterthis.net/loomis/loomis.htm
I added it as a link to Exp. Fear's MA page so everyone can find their first demo. Plus I also listened to ATG a long time ago so my opinion may change if i check it out again.

Tell me why I still remember that song from when the D.A.R.E program was at my school:
D- I won't do drugs
A- Won't have an attitude
R- I will respect myself
E- I will educate me

Another new Deicide track is up.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-17-2008 12:00 PM

and its boring as ****

Deth 04-17-2008 12:01 PM

Yeah, pretty boring.

It's lacking any urgency whatsoever.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-17-2008 12:02 PM

and the vocals are lolzworthy as usual

lol 'till death do us part'? are they ****ing gayer than i thought?

and lol opeth rip-off intro

Deth 04-17-2008 12:02 PM

I've never had a problem with his vocals, so they're just more of the same to me.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-17-2008 12:03 PM

he's so fake sounding, idk.

also, i'm relistening and that main riff goes NOWHERE

Deth 04-17-2008 12:04 PM

Yeah, it's basically the same song as In the Eyes of God. Just plods along for 3 minutes and then ends.

The guitar solo was alright, but even that felt uninspired.

Thanks for the link

Haha, that song is catchy as f-ck, that's why
It reminds me of this reading song we used to be taught in elementary school

"Reading is fun and FUN-damental,
You'll find out when your reading
READ a book, it'll fascinate the MIND"
\m/:evil:\m/

They made those songs so damn catchy with their epic chords. brilliantly composed tbh

rattlehead42147 04-17-2008 12:12 PM

no problem man, I got actually got it from a dude who was in Jeff's prior band Fear Tech.

yeah they had a way with making songs extremely stupid yet catchy at the same time.

FatalEnergy 04-17-2008 12:13 PM

Both this new song and In the Eyes I've noticed have too many chromatically based riffs which make it sound kind of uninspired.

RetiredAt21 04-17-2008 12:21 PM

I fell asleep whilst listening to the new Deicide song.

the thing is that it doesnt even ****ing plod

it just kinda stagnates until some kinda gross fungus grows on it

Eliminator 04-17-2008 01:09 PM

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-17-2008 01:10 PM

It's getting destroyed on M-A like nothing I've ever seen.

Solitary 04-17-2008 01:58 PM
Sabotage doesn't get enough love.

It's getting destroyed on M-A like nothing I've ever seen.
Wow, 6 reviews averaging 4%. I've never seen a major band get their new release slaughtered so much. Usually you get loads of rave reviews before people see sense.

Eliminator 04-17-2008 02:02 PM

im actually downloading it

why i do not know

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-17-2008 02:03 PM
It's getting destroyed on M-A like nothing I've ever seen.
that really doesnt hold much merit, kids on m-a rate changing of times as like a 0% for NOT BEING METAL

masscows 04-17-2008 02:07 PM
Wow, 6 reviews averaging 4%. I've never seen a major band get their new release slaughtered so much. Usually you get loads of rave reviews before people see sense.
Everyone hated this album before they heard it so I wasn't expecting any positive reviews. I definitely don't want to hear the album though.

Deth 04-17-2008 02:07 PM

I went in open minded before hearing the tracks on myspace. I wanted it to be an interesting turn for the band to hopefully create something new.

To Mappy: Right, but I've never seen the first 6 reviews be so simliarly low. Usually there's at least one positive or indifferent review.

masscows 04-17-2008 02:08 PM

I think everyone was just waiting to pounce on this album at the first chance they got lol

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-17-2008 02:09 PM

truthz

Obsequies 04-17-2008 02:43 PM

lol @ this, even the wiggers are turning on Cryptopsy now.

FatalEnergy 04-17-2008 03:14 PM

What makes me laugh is people talk about Cryptopsy as if they were ever a good band
