Thanks a lot man :thumb:
Did the Doors do a cover of "who do you love" I have that live and it's pretty good.

Woodstock 12-19-2004 10:45 AM

So Far is missing Country Girl, Carry On, Marakesh Express, Almost Cut My Hair, and many other greats.

And I'd never think you'd be defending a compilation. :p

I wasn't saying I didn't like them
Just that I'd class them as either "proggressive rock" or "proggressive metal"

Yes they did. It was one on their 1st demo. They werent covering it because of QMS though. (Bo Diddley) Strangely its a song I have never heard. :(

*looks for it on Soulseek*

BludgeonySteve 12-19-2004 11:43 AM

Classic rock is just music from the 60s and 70s. It could be prog rock, country rock, blues rock (most if it was), folk, rock hard rock or any type of rock but it's a certain sound that has been mainly lost in the "rock" music of today.

So yes, Floyd is classic rock and prog rock and so is King Crimson.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 12-19-2004 11:48 AM

Does anyone think 20 years from now 90's rock will be counted as "Classic Rock"?

BludgeonySteve 12-19-2004 11:51 AM
Does anyone think 20 years from now 90's rock will be counted as "Classic Rock"?
It will be called "post-classic rock". The first 25 years or so of rock will always be classic.

Besides, the overall sound of 90s rock and 70s rock is much different. It's not the same kind of music.

Broken Arrow 12-19-2004 11:51 AM
Does anyone think 20 years from now 90's rock will be counted as "Classic Rock"?
Maybe.

Then our classic rock wil be called like vintage rock. And 50's will be called like primitive rock.
