Anything you are looking for? You've hooked me up with so many great albums.

Electrocution 06-30-2005 12:40 PM

If you haven't heard BDP, you're probably attracted to 10 year old boys.

I investigated him a couple of months ago, actually. I read a couple of reviews saying he'd made a pretty good (and semi-unique) record, and a couple saying that despite a multitude of excellent guests on the album, he'd still managed to make a terrible record, and so was probably the worst artist ever.

I just posted a list of weird requests in the YSI thread, but I can come up with some more. How about anything involving Will Oldham, Four Tet's Pause, anything else you think I'd like...

The first ones are right. I'd say pretty good and quite unique. I'm going to upload it sometime soon.

Bartender 06-30-2005 02:13 PM

I might check whatever you upload out, then. Is it going to be a full album, or just a couple of songs or something? My 56K gets nervous around full album downloads, you see.

JonM 06-30-2005 02:17 PM

I already zipped up the whole album, but I'll pick a highlight or two and upload them for you when I get around to it. There's a long line of uploads on my desktop.

Bartender 06-30-2005 02:19 PM

Oh okay. Thanks :) I know you upload a lot though, so I'm not that bothered. I could just download it while I'm away from the computer some time.

JonM 06-30-2005 02:23 PM

No, I'll upload 2 or 3 tracks independently. No prob.
It's summer, dummy. :p

And on that note, I'm off to San Diego, see you all in 3 days.
Yeah, that's if California doesn't tear off the continent and you sink!

SINK!

It WILL happen someday.

It'll happen when he's there, I can feel it.

Glitterati 06-30-2005 07:34 PM

"So, this is San Fransisco?"

*rumble*

*pause*

"Did you hear that?"

"Hear wha - AAAAAHHHHHH!!"

YDload 06-30-2005 11:36 PM

California can't possibly separate from the rest of the continent because the San Andreas fault is of the slip-strike variety instead of a divergent or convergent fault. So all that will happen in thousands of years is that San Franciso and LA will get a little closer to each other.

Besides, how can a continent sink into the ocean? It's not like they're floating on the water and there's a giant sea underneath North America. Jeez  continents are pieces of land that are above sea level, not fucking flotation devices.

Oh I wouldn't count out Neal, he can make some crazy things happen. I mean sure he kind of screwed up when he made Death Valley, and well Montana too, but I'm sure he can pull it out this time. Pssh who likes California anyway? Psshsssshsshhssss.

Hey, there's been some great bands comin' round California way. I doubt you could name your top 15-20 favorite bands and not have at least one Cali. group in the bunch.

(PS: this is a challenge ;))

Glitterati 07-01-2005 01:57 AM

Bah, who cares about California sliding into the ocean. Wait a few million years, the planet will crash into the sun, and we'll all be fucked.

That's just the way I see it.

That's just the sort of post I remember reading not long before Atlantis sank.

<-------- (check out the avatar loloolol) Oh California Shmalifornia.

Heh.

Bartender 07-01-2005 07:02 AM

Moving completely away from California (sorry), does anyone know what the title music for House is? What it's called, or who it's by, or anything really.

Tomahawk 07-01-2005 09:17 AM

It's Teardrop, innit?

Bartender 07-01-2005 09:37 AM

Is it actually Teardrop? I thought it was something similar, but not the actual thing. I suppose it could be a stripped down or edited version.

So I recently downloaded a program off of Soulseek. After it was done, I noticed it was a .rar file. Are there any programs/things I could do to convert it into an .exe file so i could run it on my computer?

Why don't you unzip it with winRAR?

The Ashtray Girl 07-01-2005 04:05 PM

I'm going for a week-long piss-up in the oh-so-classy seaside town of Newquay, catch y'all later!

ATM 07-01-2005 04:14 PM

Take care :)

Wanker 07-01-2005 07:17 PM

How're you sexy beasts doing?

The NPC 07-01-2005 07:36 PM

My foot isn't as purple/red as it was a couple of days ago.
My foot isn't as purple/red as it was a couple of days ago.
At least things are looking up. My index and middle fingers are bruised because they got caught in a metal cot when I was unfolding it today.

I screamed like a woman :upset:
