Naaaaaaaah.. Death and Novembers Doom are both excellent bands.

Shadows 03-31-2006 11:02 PM

I would go with one Death and two Opeth albums.

Vaper 03-31-2006 11:44 PM

is there any chance they will play beneath the mire in australia , i just finished listening to it again and i just realized how amazing it is
Here's a hint, forget the Death and November's Doom and get 3 Opeth CDs :thumb:
Fun Fact, Only two more Opeth albums to get:thumb:

There should be Setlists floating around on the net. But i can't be bothered to find it.

One more thing, When Mikael is about to announce the next song, dont be a dick and yell it out before he says it.
Heard some stories.

penelope weird hands 04-01-2006 01:06 AM

^Nice.

I only have Still Life and Ghost Reveries.

Argh, money. ;/

Crysiss 04-01-2006 01:15 AM

I have Still Life, Morningrise,Ghost Reveries, Damnation, Deliverance and Blackwater Park.

Just two more. :)

Oh yea, I was listening to the Moonlapse Vertigo solo and was wondering what the **** was happening lol
per·plex (pr-plks)
tr.v. per·plexed, per·plex·ing, per·plex·es

1. To confuse or trouble with uncertainty or doubt.
2. To make confusedly intricate; complicate.

My guess, is he used Perplexion instead of Perplex, or Perplexing to demonstrate the outcome or make the definition of the phrase completed. ''Searching my way to (as one of being intricate) = Perplexion, ahhh ahhh ahhh''

Now, if the line was ''Searching my way to Perplexed, Perplexing, or Perplexes,'' it wouldn't make sense. Perplexion isn't a word, but I've seen it used a few times before in Poetry.
Haha well I understand the word, it's just that, as a phrase, it makes no sense. How or why would somebody search for perplexion?
Definitely their best work. My Arms, Your Hearse is amazing.
Madrigal and the Amen Corner have really been doing it for me in particular. The whole lead in into Demon of the Fall is just spectacular.

I think it means that through his searching, he has found only perplexion.

One time some dude yelled out Deliverance because he knew it was the next song in the set and Mikael said, "No, actually the next song is <insert corny pop song here>" and I think they started to play whatever song it was

Everyone needs to go to the Opeth ultimatemetal forum and read the thread on the first two pages entitled "Mikael the Comedian." It's amazing.
I think it means that through his searching, he has found only perplexion.
That would make sense, I suppose...it still sounds like he's looking to be confused, though.

I love how the album ends. Epilogue has to be my favorite intrumental ever. Everything about MAYH is extraordinary though, I really like how Åkerfeldt put the songs together lyrically. Much like you, this album took a long time to grow on me, and to be honest, when I first listened to it, I thought it was Opeth's worst album of all. I was ignorant.

I'm guessing those aren't the order the songs were played it?
And the Damnation one was probably Closure, they usually extend that with a trippy jam session before the final riff, and make the end heavy.

Wow, that IS an amazing setlist....you're lucky!

Flynn: yeah, Epilogue is nice. It has a real Wish You Were here era Pink Floyd feel to it IMO.

he started to talk **** like
Today i'll be ****ed up, today Peter will be ****ed up, the drummer(he was from another band coz our drummer is sick) is a ****er and Per will **** me today. that was actully funny because of how it sounded.

and after that
We gonna play heavy metal (one finger) death metal (second finger) and cock rock.

Yeah, I'd probably have an orgasm if they did.

Det_Nosnip 04-02-2006 10:30 AM

There are easier ways of achieving that.

penelope weird hands 04-02-2006 10:41 AM

^ Yes.

Such as listening to The Leper Affinity.

TojesDolan 04-02-2006 12:41 PM

Or you can get the hot chicks with Damnation set and get double orgasm.

UpperDecker 04-02-2006 08:19 PM

I figured out the real lyric to Demon of The Fall. It goes "Silent fart of death!
yea im bored.
