Ah I see.

Badmoon 12-19-2004 12:52 AM

If you are talking technical guitar ability, that is extremely debatable. Fripp is supposeably a theory mastermind, and can beat out various shreaders like Steve Vai and Jason Becker. Which is saying an azming amount.

Yes, fripp is amazing technically, but I think he just meant personal taste.

Creedence Clearwater 12-19-2004 12:55 AM

So Badmoon, clarify for RockandRoll the origin of your user name. ie. CCR

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 12-19-2004 12:56 AM

Oh and huge fan of Cream, didn't like Claptons solo.

B0nz0 12-19-2004 04:18 AM

i really think jeff beck is a fantastic guitarist. actually everyone out of the yardbirds are fantastic. (for the ignorant, that's jeff beck, eric clapton, and jimmy page)

IAJP 12-19-2004 07:54 AM

I barely know any of their studio albums, so I know none of their live albums.

Badmoon 12-19-2004 09:53 AM
So Badmoon, clarify for RockandRoll the origin of your user name. ie. CCR
Okay, the real origin of my name isn't from CCR. It's from Keith Moon from The Who. Back when I played drums I really liked his playing, and my friends and I wanted to start a band (Not in a serious way). And since we all liked The Who, and since the name was fitting, somone suggested "The Moons". Well, that was to bland, so I added "Bad" to it. In time, and after a small amount of time of being friends, we weren't anymore. So, I took the name.
Yes, fripp is amazing technically, but I think he just meant personal taste.
That is true. ;)

Nope, just Badmoon.

I allways thought it was based on "Badmoon rising" :)

You better hurry up and copyright that name, it's going somewhere someday. :p

I liked The Badmoon's more.

IAJP 12-19-2004 10:15 AM

Can anyone recomend me a good, unheard of classic rock band?
(In the same veign as...Badfinger maybe,)

Badmoon 12-19-2004 10:20 AM

I've heard of QMS,
but not anything I remember,
any specific songs I should try?

Badmoon 12-19-2004 10:27 AM

Ask Livewired. He's into them a lot more than I am, plus I only know a selected number of songs.

He had also done some reviews in the CD review board. I believe he had done two.

magicbus 12-19-2004 10:30 AM

I thought your name was from the CCR song too.

And I'm getting Harvest for Christmas. That cd's awesome, and makes me want to learn harmonica. I also ripped a bunch of cd's onto my computer yesterday. Now I have 25!

Nice.

How did you like Deja Vu?

IAJP 12-19-2004 10:31 AM

Thanks a lot man,
I'll check out the reviews :thumb:

Listening to it right now :thumb: Its awesome. Actually I ripped my dads copy onto here, cause you sent me it at my moms house. So now I have it on both.

EDIT: We have Unplugged also. Haven't listened to it yet, though.

IAJP 12-19-2004 10:36 AM

I have Neil Young unplugged,
I was pretty dissapointed that "southern man" wasn't on it,
But it's still a pretty cool acoustic album.

Badmoon 12-19-2004 10:37 AM

So Far > Deja Vu

Though that's not fair, because So Far is basically a compilation.

No, I think Deja Vu is much better than So Far. Besides, So Far is missing so many other songs.

Steel Guitar on Teach Your Children: Jerry Garcia?

Yep, sure is.

Badmoon 12-19-2004 10:40 AM

Nah, you have some key songs from Deja Vu, an original, and you get "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes". Perfect!

"Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" > All other CSNY songs.
