Ive never really bought into the whole emo lass wearing tight pants thing.

I seem to be more attracted to trendy or punk birds more than anything :)

I was watching that story last night! The lady news anchor could not finish cause she was laughing so much. She put her headdown and waved to someone, Than a camera man came on and told the story.

It is a pretty funny prank IMO, But I do feel bad for the guy.

metalmilitia101 11-04-2005 10:09 AM

george lucas said himself in a live ET interview that he would not make anymore star wars movies, star wars shows, anything whatsoever. and hes going to hold onto that copyright for dear life to prevent anyone else from doing it either.

His son is going to do the rest of the Star Wars, from the rest of Lucas' books/scripts.

Hey guys, I didn't think this merited a thread; but I came across this site on google: http://www.bearingedge.com/images/photo9575/PhotoGallery%20Page.htm

I'm assuming wood affects the sound of drums just like any other instrument, but how would that differ from say my Drummers '75 solid maple Ludwig?

styler 11-04-2005 01:47 PM

depends on plys, heads thickness, brand etc...if it was in birch or oak etc it would probably have a different sound.

^^ i got the runs watching that backstreet boys video...what?you say that isnt actually them? and that its 2 asians in an internet cafe lip syncing?...isnt that the backstreet boys?!?

i love how behind them theres this other asian kid on a computer....

Win A Rabbit 11-04-2005 04:40 PM

got my report card today. 80 in social, 65 in english, 74 in science. generally good comments, and i'll have enough credits to graduate just with my core classes. i can have the whole afternoon off next semester if i want. i'll have to see if i can get a job/if i can get rides to work next semester, since i'd rather make money than be in a mechanics class.

by the way, what's everyone's gpa? i just got as sheet with mine for the first time. mine is 65.9, which i'm guessing isn't so great.

KWG 11-04-2005 05:02 PM

our gpa only goes to 5,

The Fiction We Live 11-04-2005 05:27 PM

I went to the Thrice, Underoath, The Bled, and Veda concert lastnight... there was some pretty good drumming and the concert was a lot of fun...

...thought I ought to share...

Japan3gro 11-04-2005 05:45 PM

Mike Pedicone of The Bled is awesome if thats still the drummer. Can't remember Thrice's drummer and Aaron Gellespie of course. Probably my favorites from those genres.

Drum Phil 11-04-2005 05:56 PM

A part of me just died as i watched some bird laying into some A Customs harder than anyone ive ever seen in Ozzy Osbournes personal studio :upset:

Yeah they were both great. Thrice's drummer is Riley Breckinridge (sp?).

NGA Summary

Academic GPA: 65.9
Total GPA: 65.9
CSU GPA: 65.9
Type 4 GPA: 65.9

maybe it's just an average of all my grades throughout high school?

poppinfresh 11-04-2005 06:43 PM

Futuro 11-04-2005 07:00 PM

HEY ALL!
I'm Jake, I'm 18, and I've been into music performance for nearly 4 years. I've been playing guitar for about 5 years, drums for a little over a year, and bass and piano off and on. I also sing, I've been recording a lot of solo stuff, once I have all my new studio equipment in, I'll record and post some of my material. I've been running on music since I was a "wee lad". I'm going to college soon and getting something like, "Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance" or something drum/percussion related. I love to work on mechanical things (engines, cars, amps, electronics). As of now, I have 2 side projects (2 bands) that are starting to take shape. Right now, my solo stuff is priority. I just love music.:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
