I think the new Megadeth album may be suprizing with the band Dave has now. I think it'll probably be more Youthanasia style rather than Rust In Peace though.

metal-militia 10-12-2005 08:45 AM

Daniel KVX10 Rodrigues 10-12-2005 10:50 AM

Kreator!!!! (EOG)
My fav thrash album ever... all theyre songs from that album are great! Plus its my fav band :naughty:

MAthiAS 10-12-2005 01:20 PM

...Enemy of God was pretty crap.

RavenousMetalist87 10-12-2005 02:31 PM
...Enemy of God was pretty crap.
I personally thought it was pretty good

/me sets self up for flames

metal-militia 10-12-2005 02:34 PM

It's no where near as good as the first 5

RCA 10-12-2005 02:43 PM

Speaking of German thrash, I want Sodom's DVD that is set to come out in a few months.

Pandfair 10-12-2005 03:34 PM
...Enemy of God was pretty crap.
I liked it. But it has nothing on Pleasure To Kill.

They moved the release date again?

If they did, x 1,000

It had a few good songs, namely the title track and World Anarchy, and the solo to Murder Fantasies was sex. Other than that though, it was pretty mediocre from a band capable of much better music.

Yeah, it's not coming out until December now.

FatalEnergy 10-12-2005 05:03 PM

Yeah, I personally think the first half of Violent Revolution was better than Enemy of God. The second half of Violent Revolution was really really horrible though

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

****it...

Face does have a point that the first half of VR was good. I personally like all of it, but I have to admit, I wasn't too accepting at first. The melody seems to be like candy to me.

Terrorzone 10-12-2005 08:35 PM

I prefer EOG to VR.

Man, just email the link to me, I don't need to be on msn for you to give it to me.

MAthiAS 10-12-2005 09:10 PM

I haven't heard Violent Restitution...

But I really think the solos on EOG are great. That's one thing that wasn't amazing on Pleasure to Kill, some of those solos are really horrid, especially the title track.

Oh yes, I believe the whole lead guitar work to that album was just...like hearing a cat being kicked around the room like a hacky sack.

Mille hasn't gotten better since...except he was a lot better on Extreme Aggression and Coma of Souls.

Sami kicks his *** now though.

Freezing Moon 10-12-2005 09:59 PM

I actually like Enemy of God. :upset:

Some of the tracks are catchy and good. I know its not great thrash but sometimes catchy things do it for me. Not usually, but I do enjoy songs like "Dying Race Apocalypse".

Although... some of the tracks do indeed suck, a lot.

NP: Autopsy - Ridden with Disease
Speaking of catchy... I can't get enough of this song.

FatalEnergy 10-12-2005 10:09 PM

I don't know, I like some songs more from Cause for Conflict more than I do Enemy of God and CFC was pretty horrid.

NP: Overkill - End of the Line

Freezing Moon 10-12-2005 10:12 PM

I haven't heard Cause for Conflict, and I take it I don't want to.

NP: Deathrow

Apocalyptic Raids 10-12-2005 10:16 PM

Yeah, I've never checked out and mid-90's Kreator either.

NP: Krisiun - Nuclear Winter. This cover owns!

Freezing Moon 10-12-2005 10:33 PM

I listened to a few songs off of EoG again, and I've changed my mind. :p

This isn't good, I just remembered the good parts and forgot the crap inbetween, since I haven't listened to it for over 5 months.

NP: Immolation - Higher Coward

Yeah, I can't believe some of them were actually put on the album.

FatalEnergy 10-12-2005 11:23 PM

Yeah, but at the time it was the riffs that mattered to them and solos were just kind of there. Now, there is no riffs that don't have all this annoying melodic lead crap in there where it shouldn't be
