I did She Don't Use Jelly.

My report was like, 2 paragraphs. I just said that the Flaming Lips aren't always incredibly poetic, and that the song is just wacky and entertaining. A+

Ex-Hippie English Teacher = Awesome.

Janeway 12-21-2005 03:07 PM

You wrote reports on it?
We just had to stand up and speak about it.
We combined AP and English 12 classes this week. The English 12 teacher went crazy and killed herself or something stupid, and our school is too poor to hire a substitute for a week, so they pinned it on poor Miss J. She did the interpretations for a time filler, I guess.
It's been eventful.
Half of the kids in that class use L337 and wonder why they get 50's.

Undisco Kidd 12-21-2005 03:09 PM

I had to write a paper, play the song, and read it outloud.

an_original_name 12-21-2005 03:17 PM

my band played a killer of a gig on sunday night. it was at a place called "the snooty fox" in wakefield (England). there was only about 50 people there, but the atmosphere was amazing! we were the second band of 3 to play although we pretty much stole the show as the headlining band got unbelievably drunk and had to cut their set short because their guitarist was almost at the point of passing out. we got a proffesional quality dvd recording of it done too so i might put a clip of that on here at some point

puppet.master 12-21-2005 03:33 PM

all our class had to do was a paper on it but that was in grade 8

Panopticon 12-21-2005 04:10 PM

i had to do that in grade 7...i did good charlotte:upset:

I was so disgusting :smash:

styler 12-21-2005 04:56 PM

the 17 seconds of this totally blew me away, look at how young this kid is!
EDIT: woops forgot to post the video, http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7546058199531426643

Jezen 12-21-2005 05:16 PM

I like the trick at the end. Would be hard make the stick flip after a stick dribble.

styler 12-21-2005 05:31 PM

he flipped it the opposite way that makes sense too...most would flip the other end of the stick around

The Ska Man 12-21-2005 06:24 PM

I love Sublime's style, but they have way too much stoner type stuff.
I hate AA dry rides, and you'd be better off with the AAX.
AAX's sound like seks. If I had the money, all my crashes would be HHX, my ride would be AAX, and my splashes and hats would be A customs.

Anyone want to donate for fund this? Heh heh:smash:

puppet.master 12-21-2005 10:12 PM

scarface is on :D

never seen it before so im watching it

rockindrummer 12-21-2005 10:15 PM

^ Awsome movie, really good story, overall it is just sweet.

Today was a good day, I got back from work and had a drum lesson right away. I was able to do everything he asigned for homework right away with ease which was nice. He gave me a pretty cool groove to work, some fills, and like 4 pages out of stick control.

He also gave me a dw 5000 pedal, just until I can buy a new one for myself. It is just a single chain, turbo (I believe) pedal, although it is still way better than my old stock pedal.

LittlePound 12-21-2005 10:22 PM
:[ i don't even have a thousand.
you don't even have 500 yet, 1000 is still in a galaxy far far away...hehehe j/k

BetweenTheEchoes 12-21-2005 10:41 PM

Here's an idea. Since this is Christmas and everyone has already talked about things they are thankful for during Thanksgiving, let's take this time to talk about things we AREN'T thankful for. I'll start.

1. Christians-This is mainly because of their contribution to the creation and production of...
2. Christian Rock-I swear if I have to hear my dad play Kutless in the car one more time, I'm gonna sell my kit in order to purchase the necessary materials for a pipe bomb. And probably get a nice scarf while I'm at it.
3. People Who Talk-People, in general, are stupid. They should not be allowed to speak. I think this explains itself.
4. The DW4000 Pedal-What extra-terrestial force, or intoxicant, goaded DW into making such a ****ty pedal and sell it at 200 dollars (at the time I bought it at least) is just totally beyond me.
5. Guitarists-They turn their speakers up too damn loud for anyone to hear the non-miced drums, speed up the song every 2 bars, buy up all the prositutes, eat all my god damn cheese, and leave my ice cream bars sitting on the counter so they can melt.

Jezen 12-21-2005 10:49 PM

I'm not thankful for religion, prudes, lebanese, emos, war, chavs, rednecks, whale hunters ect ect ect.

rockindrummer 12-21-2005 10:52 PM

Ya the stupid emo kids are annoying.

LittlePound 12-21-2005 10:54 PM

i'm already loving the stereotyping here

...not

Jezen 12-21-2005 10:55 PM

You're the first person that came to mind, which is why I had a bad feeling that we were gonna get into another religion debate.

BetweenTheEchoes 12-21-2005 10:58 PM
You're the first person that came to mind, which is why I had a bad feeling that we were gonna get into another religion debate.
Really? I never got to see that. Me wants! Link me!

But I agree, the dogmatic ideals of organized religion has been a detriment to society from day one.

LittlePound 12-21-2005 10:58 PM

i came to mind? well...i don't wanna argue, everybody has their own beliefs and i except that but so far i've seen basically "i hate christians, and emo kids' within in two posts, and though i may not be emo (though i am a christian) i just don't like how people will judge a whole group of people based ont he actions of a few

Jezen 12-21-2005 11:00 PM

It's not that I don't like the people, I just don't agree with the ideas.
