Today at my internship, this loud-mouthed, rude kid kept stealing the pen case of the girl behind him and she started yelling, so the teacher I was observing that class made him feel extremely uncomfortable by drawing everyone's attention to him and speculating about him having a crush on her. It was pretty funny.

How much longer for your internship Yuri? I would assume the remainder of the school year?

Yeah, it's for the rest of the school year. It's been pretty cool this year. I've been teaching on my own more this year. It's nice because that way I'm reminded of what I'm doing this college education for, and I guess teaching is not such a terrible job.

Sometimes I hate kids, though, because at times it seems like they get more materialistic and vain with each generation, but maybe I'm just slowly becoming one of those old people who are always complaining about the "youths".

Being materialistic and vain is very much not exclusive to youths, especially in AMERICA.

Hahaha I fuckin' hear ya! I sometimes swear I'm an 80 year old in a 20-something's body the way I rant about the youth of today. Some kids today, I find have no respect it's ridiculous. I'm in a school setting as well for my practicum (doing mediations/presentations/workshops on conflict) and it's crazy, yet interesting to see how kids of these generations act/interact and what constitutes as a conflict.

It's really neat, albeit difficult at times (for me anyway) to put what you've learned into a practical sense. It's like "okay so I've spend the past three/four/five years learning about this in a classroom setting and doing case studies and role playing, now I'm dealing with real people with real issues and conflicts. It's intimidating but enjoyable so far. And I agree, a great reminder of why you got into what you did.

it was $5000, blue, automatic, and in solid condition, there was a small leakage problem but we convinced them to fix it before they sold it to us
