I can only play the intro (the actual riff, not the noise at the very beginning). I found it kinda tricky at first, but it became easier with practice.

That entire thing is very hard to figure out. So many different combinations of flams accents and ghost notes.

Man, I hate playing the end of The Grudge on guitar. The entire song is a blast to play up until that point. Then it's like..Man, wtf I wanna play Lateralus now!

i like the sound of the main riff, people say its repetative, but its one of my favorite riffs/song.

I agree. And I think it's one of the best album openers ever

Marshall- I know what you mean. All of the riffs are simple sounding, but they're very complex, due to the time they are in. It's definitely one of Tool's "musician" songs.

Troll-Not just that, but the 2nd part of the intro turned into powerchords is just too far of a stretch. :p

i do the old devil horn trick for the riff, never have to move my hand :p

Am learning the patient slowly like 1 or 2 riffs per week.
Its on bass remeber.

How long would it take any bassist here to learn it?
