I learned the intro to Hotel California from Hell Freezes Over. Its not that hard, but i dont have an acoustic, so I'm not totally sure.

Woodstock 11-08-2004 08:49 PM

drugstore cowboy 11-08-2004 09:06 PM

So far, it's:
Green Onions, Booker T and the MG's
Radar Love by Golden Earring
Rock and Roll by Zeppelin

Badmoon 11-08-2004 09:09 PM

Ramblin' Man by The Allman Brothers

wanton 11-08-2004 09:16 PM

Grateful Dead - Dark Star
Neil Young - Cowgirl in the Sand
Doobie Brothers - Long Train Running
Marshall Tucker Band - Heard It in a Love Song
Foghat - Fool for the City
Allman Brothers - Trouble No More, One Way Out
Anything CCR

Badmoon 11-08-2004 09:18 PM

I hate being in a car when Dark Star's playing, there's no force.

RockAndRoll 11-08-2004 09:33 PM

How is it that when we name the greatest driving songs La Grange is not the first on the list? It is by far the most ultimate driving song of all time.

thickasabrick 11-08-2004 09:38 PM

im not a fan of Zeppelin in the car, and La Grange is a great choice.

i also like Break on Through, and i also have to mention Bohemian Rhapsody just because of Waynes World.

Those tw are good but seriously when it comes to driving songs just try driving 140 down a two lane highway with la Grange on, I guarantee you will understand that it is the greatest driving song of all time.
the LEMON SONG HAS THE GREATEST AVATAR OF ALL TIME
This is a little late, but thank you :D

~The*Lemon*Song~ 11-08-2004 10:30 PM

No dude, Floyd's the best music in the car...anyone can cut you off, be slow, and whatnot, and you just....won't...care. It's like, "yeah, whatever, I'll get there sooner or later"...plus it always makes me spacey, like DSOM.

Veteran of the psychic wars 11-09-2004 11:58 AM

Hmm, for driving songs, I'd have said Stairway To The Stars, by Blue Oyster Cult.
Which, funnily enough, is probably where the La Grange riff was derived from.

magicbus 11-09-2004 12:09 PM

I always liked the Immigrant Song in the car. Then there's always Bad Moon Rising, All Along the Watchtower and Fire, Life in the Fastlane, LA Woman, and stuff that's fast and loud. I'm sick of Rock and Roll though. I don't listen to that anymore.

What album is that off of? It sounds like a cool song just by the name.

lunch998 11-09-2004 01:46 PM

For the car: Highway Star. If your going really fast.

You can only play Rock And Roll if you have a Cadillac.

jpj 11-09-2004 02:18 PM

Bohemian Rhapsody and any Doors or ZZ Top songs are great to drive to.

drugstore cowboy 11-09-2004 03:03 PM

Alriiiight. Now wasn't that fun? Thanks for the songs =p Now...I've just got to wait until I get my G2. Got my G1 now =p
