my mom asked me to get her a bunch of good books to read from the library. but i doubt she's got the same taste in books as me. oh well, worth a shot.

Man I've been recording all day. Put to tape about 10 minutes worth of drum parts. I still have to do the coda to my album as well as the drum solo, but that'll be done tomorrow.

Man, digital editing is so cheap but its great. Except for a rushed fill, I did a near perfect take. So instead of redoing it tons of times, I selected the rushed fill, sped it up like 2 percent, and it was PERFECT!

WTR: Yeah it seems like "local" weed is often pretty low quality, or just gives a generally negative high. I'd much rather have strange, esoteric conversations while stoned then feel really tired and mumble things at people.

i was watching conan and then it finished and paid programming for an oreck vacuum came on, and apparently it's a super strong vacuum.

and then it goes "you'll hear the story of a man who lost everything in hurricane katrina but his oreck vacuum."

how the hell do you take something like hurricane katrina and use it to promote your product?

Haha, indeed. I had laced weed once, felt quite strange while on it (more energy, but a general sense of unsettledness) The next day, felt absolutely terrible, very depressed and angry. Think it was laced with coke.

one time i was really drunk at a party and was smoking with a guy and after we finished it he told me it was like pure thc, and i totally thought he said pcp, and then i started freaking out because i was super high and my friends were all "you're an idiot it's not pcp" and i was all "omg it is this isnt a normal high"

Haha well it would be easy to say something like that when really high, but even so, I think it was an abnormal experience for pot.

Any good movies in theatres right now? Trying to find a good movie to go see with my gf sometime soon. There's a cool art house theatre halfway between us but its showing Taxi to the Dark Side, which would be a depressing movie.

Go see "The Band's Visit". It's about a group of Egyptian musicians who travel to Israel to perform a concert, and end up in the wrong place; a small Israeli town that is totally alien to them. ...Hilarity ensues. it's quite an interesting movie.
