That nigga thing is annoying...

It is racist if we say it, but if you say it, it's alright?

The word means black slave (i think) if you can use it, it is not longer derogatory, therefore everyone else can use it. Whether you take offence to it or not.

My $0.02
im actually white, if you read it, I said in a joking way," im black i can say nigga, see it doesnt get blanked out" :)

and dude3 stop double posting

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 04:08 PM

Hey Ben, I got a Mogwai album. Come on Die Young, to be exact. :D Thought you might like that, or think I'm cool.

Good lad!

The last 4 songs own the rest of the album. But listen to it as a whole for best results.

Then comment on my review :)

Yes, but the second one was a reply to.......oh whatever. May I ask, why double posting is bad? Its not that annoying, is it?

clearvision 07-14-2005 04:12 PM

I'm good AJIG, cheers. I'm gonna hit the sack till mid afternoon soon  ...then go out and get wankered + attempt to by the new HP book

I got 'Young Team' and TBH was not impressed with it atall. I have only given it one listen though, i think it'll grow slightly. Disturbed and Dredg have taken over my life atm. Oh and Bjork too.

Could you upload a good Bjork song? They seem really interesting.

Adam Jones is GOD 07-14-2005 04:13 PM

Prodution on Young Team is terrible. But most see it as their best album.

I prefer HSFHP

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 04:20 PM

Dude3- In large quantities, it's extremely annoying. Like say, 3 on the same page.

So far, I'm really not digging the album though. Perhaps it's because I got it at the same time I got Catch Without Arms by Dredg, and it is extremely good. Maybe it's just being shadows by the greatness that is Dredg.

Adam Jones is GOD 07-14-2005 04:22 PM

Dont expect distortion and heavy drumming when listening. If you're not won after Ex-Cowboy and Christmas Steps, ill kill you.

And I saw a Dredg album crying to me to buy the other day, but I know too little to buy it

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 04:23 PM

I'm happy with CWA, so you might as well pick that up. If you don't see it, El Cielo is their best from what I've heard.

clearvision 07-14-2005 04:23 PM

Bjork is an amazing artist, the way she has progressed is quite cool really. From pretty standard dance/alternative music into more electronica influenced chillouty-dance stuff to kind of experimental chillout. Post and Homogenic are 2 amazing albums, her new album is pretty interesting, it features very few instruments and is mainly just vocals, it features rahzel form the roots beat-boxing on a number of tracks, quite interesting really.

Here is Joga, many consider this to be her best song so i though that i would upload it. I have an amazing video of her singing this live, she hits every note.

Sorry for the AAC format.

EDIT : El Cielo is better than CWQ imo, gimme a sec to upload a tune from it that kinfeboy said is a good taster of the album, it worked for me...

I just finished dloading their first album, Leit Motif, i hope it is just as good.

Adam Jones is GOD 07-14-2005 04:25 PM

Trouble with Bjork is that she has too many styles, like DJ Shadow, so I find it hard to like albums, as its not guranteed that i'll like them.

Class it under 'appreciated' for me, but not playlist worthy

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 04:26 PM

I have a cool file convertor program, so it's no trouble for me. Too bad for everyone else.

Too bad it will take me longer to download than it will take anyone else to download the song, a good convertor, and listen to the song 10 times. :upset:

What styles does Shadow change through? I think it's all pretty much in the same sort of area...you have private press amirite?

6 days and both the motorway songs are amazing...

Yeah, but the style change is throughout, he even admits it in the liner notes. Most DJ artists will get it, using samples from different genres, it creates some variety

6 days to Walkie Talkie is a big style change (though I like them both).

Dredg - Sanzen

A good summer-upper of El Cielo

Adam Jones is GOD 07-14-2005 04:41 PM

That was pretty sweet. Is that a chosen 'best track' or just like you said, a convenient track that gives the idea of the whole album?

His voice is the only thing I dont immediately like though.

denboy 07-14-2005 04:45 PM

It's my favorite Dredg track.. But don't expect the rest of the album to be like that. The album is a journey that starts one place, and then ends a completely different place.. (The flow of El Cielo is amazing)

Adam Jones is GOD 07-14-2005 04:49 PM

That track flowed very nicely on its own, so im very much interested in hearing more now.

Ill update my database with it

Thank you for this.
That was pretty cool. I think I might check out more of her stuff.
I got some pretty weird looks from my mom though when she walked by and I was listening to that

1/4 true.

Though its well know Tool's style changed to its brilliance once they got a Brit in to sort them out

Hey Undertow is a good album aswell.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 04:55 PM

I've only heard Of the Room from El Cielo, and it's basically what got me to buy CWA.

3074326 07-14-2005 04:57 PM

El Cielo is possibly the greatest CD ever made.

Yeah, dont think I was carrying any de facto standard with that statement. :p
