powerslave is a great album. although i do tend to say that about all their albums, other than No Prayer For The Dying.
|
I'd like The Trooper as well. It'd be very cool if they played Powerslave and Infinite Dreams.
I like you, let's be friends :p I would be in pure heaven if they played The Prophecy, I reckon they could pull if off live with 3 guitars. |
/becomes friend.

It's still a great album, just nowhere near as good as any other Maiden album. |
I like all the tracks on NPFTD but it lacks any real standout tracks IMO.
|
Tailgunner FTW.
|
i think my favourite off NPFD is probably Hooks In You, i love that song. not really sure why though.
|
Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter is one of my fav Maiden tracks, and it's awsome live.
|
The title track and Mother Russia are my faves.
|
Tailgunner is the only track that really stands out on that album IMO
|
The title track grew on me.
|
i want the intro of blood brothers played at my funeral:p

In the rare even that I find some like minded musicians (well people who understand there are more genres then indie and completely chaotic and atonal black metal), I'm gonna force them to play Blood Brothers... |

NPFTD is one of my favorites  but i love all their albums :( NP: blood brothers  |
on Piece of Mind, on Still Life, some jamaican guy says something which is recorded backwards. what is it?
|
I believe it's Nikco saying saying it, but I'm not sure what is being said.

ACtually i didnt know the sum41 thing was dedicated to iron maiden. thats cool that they got the dude who did it with maiden. If i remember correctly sum41 were once a iron maiden tribute band.... |
ye its probably because dave from sum 41 is a huge maiden fan. theyv done lots of iron maiden stuff such as covers etc.
|
I saw them on MTV cribs one day. Their drummer has a NPFTD poster and Eddies head box set.i was like WTF

I've always thought it was someone else too.
He greatly reduced his film work from around 1975, as horror itself suffered a slump, and increased his narrative and voice work. For example, Price's voiceover is heard on Alice Cooper's first solo album Welcome to My Nightmare; in Michael Jackson's music video, Thriller as well on Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast"'; and, in one of his last major and one of his favourite feature film roles, as the voice of Professor Ratigan in Walt Disney Pictures' The Great Mouse Detective. He also starred for a year in the early 1970s in a syndicated daily radio program, Tales of the Unexplained.
 |
Didn't he die before they made the album? And plus 'Run to The Hills' and every over source except wiki says it was only a guy who sounded like him...
|
i just heard death on the road, and the backing singer sounds munted on "can i play with madness" - sounds like he's saying can i play with Agnes.

That's Bruce, not Adrian/Steve. |
so Bruce can sing into two seperate microphones at once?
i meant the backing singer. the other bloke. i dunno which one it is, its either adrian smith or steve harris i think. it wasn't bruces voice, it was backing. they use a synthesiser on that song too. they shouldn't have. |
"don't meddle wi't tings you don' unnerstan'"
Hahaha...Di'anno has a myspace:lol: |
I must have been gone for a while, but can someone tell ma what happenned to the *OFFICIAL* thread? unless this is the same thread with a different name lol.

It's the same thread, the name was changed a while back:)
so Bruce can sing into two seperate microphones at once? i meant the backing singer. the other bloke. i dunno which one it is, its either adrian smith or steve harris i think. it wasn't bruces voice, it was backing.
It is Bruce that say's 'Agnes'. If you watch closely you can see that his mouth does not close in order to create the sound of 'M'. He also had a cold on that night which may have added to it. |
on Piece of Mind, on Still Life, some jamaican guy says something which is recorded backwards. what is it?
Im not exactly sure what he says but it's taking the mick out of all the hoohah over satanic messages and like being heard if you played a record backwards. There's supposed to be something like that on stairway to heaven and judas priest almost got in trouble with the law in america (breakin the law breakin the law...sorry had to put that in) because two boys committed suicide while listening to one of their songs because apparently the record said 'do it do it' when played backwards. Anyway, Iron Maiden were mocking such things |
Yeah, it was poking fun at the people who called Maiden satanists after The Number of the Beast.
Still Life is probably their best little known song. |
"don't meddle wi't tings you don' unnerstan'"
Hahaha...Di'anno has a myspace:lol:
i still <3 him |
Isn't there supposed to be a hidden message in one of Maiden's songs that when you play it backwards it says something like ''what are you listening to Iron Maiden for, they're shit'?
|

Yeah, hold on a sec, ill find it. EDIT: hmmm, cant seem to find it, im sure though, if you searched maidenfans/imc a bit you would find it. |
It is Bruce that say's 'Agnes'. If you watch closely you can see that his mouth does not close in order to create the sound of 'M'. He also had a cold on that night which may have added to it.
well im confused then. because there is a backing singer, and he was the one who sang it without the M. the lead singer sings it normally. unless Bruce is doing the backing() then it must have been the backing singer. |
