the verse beat in The Patient is really cool.
|
i forgot about the eulogy beat.. i said something about it a few pages or so ago.
|
It says in the Tool FAQ.
Thats why I said I couldnt remember off the top of my head, unfortunately as cool as I am, even I forget some things from that FAQ |
I have a feelling I'll have to stop reading this thread when the album is released
|
sup fellas
|
Is that all you ever say?
|
No, he asks for new Tool news the other half of the time.
|
Well in that case, im assuming about 5000 of his 6000 posts are useless.
|
I'd say it's more like 6000 out of 6200
|
Is that all you ever say?
dude, i was coming to this fred before you were even inducted into these forums... due to the content of posts here, and the degeneration of those there-in, i no longer frequent this..... and im quite capable of saying JUST about anything |
lol
(Yes, i realise the irony of me making a post purely saying lol) |
Well in that case, im assuming about 5000 of his 6000 posts are useless.
apparently all 900 you have should have been stopped by your frontal lobe  /pwned |
The fact that you had to declare yourself that you pwned him.. means you didn't
|
The fact that you had to declare yourself that you pwned him.. means you didn't
well, i figured since he was trying to play captain obvious, i might as well play along :D |
Well to actually keep the thread on Tool, how do you think their new album will be?
|
kick arse

yeah I hope this cds going to be like as good as Salival.
fixed |
fixed
meh, salival was good too. |
Only way its going to be as good as Salival, is if its a live CD.
Tool live > Tool on album, as we are all well aware (now watch people flock to disagree with me) |
Only way its going to be as good as Salival, is if its a live CD.
Tool live > Tool on album, as we are all well aware (now watch people flock to disagree with me)
well, they sound great live. Maynard can't sound bad IMO. |

Joe Hahn is alone, better than all members of Tool.
But in all honesty, he's a great creative musician who needs to break free of those generic losers quickly. |
I don't think I'd call him a musician. I don't know why. Either way he's what makes LP work for anybody. If they didn't have him they couldn't mix Rap/Rock as well.
I like those solo tracks by him on the LP cds. I didn't mind Hybrid Theory while it still sounded original and then they came out with the overproduced, overly generic, and all too similar Meteora. |
whats wrong with TOoL on the CD?
|
whats wrong with TOoL on the CD?
there's an alt/indie thread explaining it in great detail :thumb: |

The other members either throw in some 5th chords, guitar following bass, simple beat (though rob picked it up a bit on their last release) and terrible lyrics. I still love Cure For The Itch, plus Joes artwork is awesome. He's like the Adam Jones of LP. |

Which is totally unbiased, proffessionally wrote and ever so informative. I still get a cheap laugh out of that. And there's nothing wrong with Tool on CD, its just live is so much better |
there's an alt/indie thread explaining it in great detail :thumb:
O yea thats right.... i dont care what that thread has to say. AJ is the friggin master on the CDs. The fact he can do that live is more impressive, but you gotta love what he achieves in the stuido |
In spite of the fact that they have only released 3 full length albums over a 12 year period, and 1 album in the last 9 years, Tool are one of the most popular hard rock bands in the world today, with their music containing elements of prog rock, metal, as well as a brooding arty feel that has meant Tool have developed one of the most adoring fanbases in music today. Boasting Danny Carey, viewed by many as one of the best drummers alive today, and the enigmatic Maynard James Keenan as a frontman, it is no surprise that the band have such a following, particularly after the release of 2001's "Lateralus", which saw them break through thanks to the release of "Schism"; one of the few Tool songs playable on radio. Their new album is projected for release in 2006, and seems set to be one of the most talked about releases of the year.

Yeah, too bad LP is insufficient. |
Yeah, too bad LP is insufficient.
Yeah, but if it wasnt for them, I might not be at this point today. Thats a scary thought |
The band I owe my tastes in metal most is Korn who actually have artistic crediblity in my opinion, just not lately. They were actually really good live.
|
Tool live sucks satan's balls AJIG.Linkin Park is gonna own this guys.
EDIT: Notice the bassist hasn't turned around yet.
That moron pissed me off. Destroyed that perfectly good bootleg... |
I was on the Korn train too at one point. Seeing them at Download last year was funny, it was me and my friends standing around saying "Man, this takes me back" and "Remember when we were younger, we used to go nuts to this song?"
|
i havent like korn since life is peachy
and i still like that album :D |
I still listen to Korn periodically but lately I've been sucked into The Odyssey by Symphony X. My god everything is just excellent on this album.
|
^ I didn't care for that for some reason... don't know why, it seems like somethind I'd like.
|
