Thanks for the heads up, when you get some stuff finished can you upload it. I'd love to have a listen. I'll be Eddie, If you'll let me.

Also, have any of you seen Rock in Rio? Is it any good? My friend says that its poo cos the editors keep cutting scenes from it.

andyhainey 10-19-2005 10:52 AM

1: tell you friends that they're gr8, poo, is a gr8 quote even if they do miss scenes out, it wont be from any of the songs
2: RiR is AMAZING, i'd say its thee best DVD so far
3: i will definately upload it 4 you, if we actually get a drummer that is
4: you'll have to ask uber if you want to be eddie

Rock in Rio is great, great atmosphere. The only bad thing is that they have edited it a bit too much. but it's still excellent. Probably second best Live recording I've seen after Maiden England...

No, it's 1988 at the Birmingham NEC, it was part of the Seventh tour of a Seventh Tour. The only bad thing about it is; you see Steve in his underpants during the intro

Yeah get RiR.

Erm...I only have Maiden England on Video and there wasn't a CD of it released. If you have Visions of the Beast, Infinite Dreams on that is from the Maiden England Video.

andyhainey 10-19-2005 11:20 AM

ahh good, i hav visions. whats everybodies 5 fav song from RiR? mine has to be

1:hallowed
2:SOTC

5:GOTN.

i know that they arent in the same order as the list i gave above about my 10 fav maiden songs, i meant from RiR (video)

They show some pictures of the band during the intro and that's one of the pictures...

andyhainey 10-19-2005 11:34 AM

oh dear :eek:is it a thong? lol

Lord Abortion 10-19-2005 11:35 AM

I want Maiden England...
a little put off by the underpants thing though...

My problem with the RiR DVD is the lightning fast changes in camera angle...

crag 10-19-2005 11:36 AM

Of all the songs they had on Dance Of Death, which song would you say they should 'bring forward'? eg Brave New World looks like its the only song from BNW that will be played at every concert they do from now on. I reckon Journeyman. Paschendale's a better song but as those of you who saw them play Journeyman live will agree, that song is awesome when played live.

i imagine Journeyman because its the only acoustic song they have so they'll probably always do it unless they do another acoustic song

Lord Abortion 10-19-2005 02:40 PM

Journeyman and Pascendale are pretty standout tracks from DOD fr me, apart from the TT of course
