My favorite songs at the moment are the Clansman and Wrathchild. Don't know what era Iron Maiden that is though. The songs off of BNW are mostly on the first disc (I think) their pretty good too so I'll look around for that.
the clansman is from the Virtual XI album, Blaze era
Wrathchild is from Killers, Paul era

Surtr 10-18-2005 05:29 PM

Hmm...I'd say go for NOTB or SSOASS..but if you like some of the RiR songs such as Brave New World, The Mercenary or anything like that...buy Brave New World or Dance Of Death.

classicrockman 10-18-2005 06:19 PM

1. Iron Maiden
2. Number of the Beast
3. Powerslave
4. Killers
5. Brave New World
6. Piece of Mind
7. Live After Death
8. Fear of the Dark
9. Somewhere in Time
10. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

Thought I'd drop my opinion on my favorite Maiden albums. My list is nothing much from the usual...except that Maiden's s/t album is my favorite. :thumb:

Surtr 10-18-2005 06:26 PM

1. Brave New World

4. Powerslave
5. Number Of The Beast
6. Piece of Mind

9. Virtual XI
10. Death On The Road...

And of course RiR is on that list...but it's to good to go with most of those albums...

classicrockman 10-18-2005 06:28 PM

I happen to a be a fan of very early Iron Maiden...nut BNW was a good album.

9) Number Of The Beast (Hallowed is it's only real saviour)
What about Prisoner? Invaders? Total Eclipse? Run to the Hills? Number of the Beast? 22 Acacia Avenue? Ace songs...

Deth 10-18-2005 07:24 PM

I really don't like The Prisoner and Gangland, Invaders and Total Eclipse are decent, 22 Acacia Avenue and Run To The Hills are good, and NOTB and HBTN are fantastic.

There just isn't as many amazing tracks on that album if you ask me.

I love prisoner, solely just for the Arpeggio H does before the solo. Total Eclipse is just ace...and you've just made the list dammit!

Deth 10-18-2005 07:29 PM

Well, I'm right and that's all that matters :stubborn:.

You look a lot more metal than I do Ash.

NP: Remember Tomorrow

Fair enough, not gonna argue with that.

The silly thing is; I'm half A-rab, so when people see me in the streetthey think I'm some sort of hippity hopper when I'm not wearing a maden shirt :upset:

Deth 10-18-2005 07:37 PM

Solution: Buy more Maiden shirts.

I've found that solves most problems.

3/4 of my shirts are maden t-shirts...I seem to scare a lot of people off when I wear a maiden t-shirt

Deth 10-18-2005 07:41 PM

Fools! I only have two myself.

classicrockman 10-18-2005 09:12 PM

1. Phantom of the Opera
2. The Number of the Beast
3. Killers
4. The Fallen Angel
5. Powerslave
6. Hallowed Be Thy Name
7. Transylvania
8. Wrathchild
9. The Trooper
10. Aces High
11. The Prisoner
12. Be Quick or Be Dead
13. Innocent Exile
14. Children of the Damned

I love Bruce's vocals on that album, Invaders and the prisoner really stand out for me...

Ash looks cool
Fools! I only have two myself.
I don't buy band T-shirts anymore. I used to be really into Blink 182, so now I have a whole load of Blink 182 T-shirts I'll never wear.

I'd go:

1) Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (Best vocal performance - ever on that album...except maybe Paverotti at the 1990 World Cup)
2) Rock In Rio
3) Brave New World
4) Number Of The Beast
5) Dance Of Death
6) Iron Maiden
7) Live At Donnington
8) I don't own any more Iron Maiden albums :upset: Darn bank account.

Some of these lists are really interesting.

After repeatedly listening to SSOASS, I decided Bruce's best vocal performance is 'The Evil That Men Do'. What an intro.

-The Frank 10-19-2005 07:03 AM

SSOASS- meh

Deth 10-19-2005 07:10 AM
