Oh.

Well I can't play that fast at all. Would you recommend any practices or anything other than play challenging songs?

hnmmmmm, i would say.... maxwell murder? thats all i can think of that will get your hands moving.

The weirdest thing just happened. some people came to the door and asked for me, so my mum shouted up saying theres some people at the door for you, so then my mum walks away to watch tv. i go to the door and theres no one there, i check around the corner of the door and no one there, i look down the street and they hadnt ran off or anything (they arent that fast! so thats weird!

FUNKNBASS 10-03-2004 11:30 AM

Just anthing that causes you to stretch your hand alot all over the fretboard, your not building true speed as you want to build stregnth.

like knocky knocky nine doors?

but in knocky knocky 9 doors its different, the way we used to play it was you would run along a street ringing all the bells on 9 houses then just sprinting away.

these people actually came to the door!

probably just some friends messin about... or it might have been some charvas!

So I'm not as concerned about speed as much as endurance?

Yar.

FUNKNBASS 10-03-2004 11:35 AM

Endurance is the first step to gaining speed.

Jamie 10-03-2004 11:36 AM

yeah, try learning sleep now in the fire and playing it all the way through, now that will test your strength!

(sleep now in the fire - rage against the machine)

FUNKNBASS 10-03-2004 11:38 AM

The thing is is that your trying to make the mucles in your hand move faster, but you have to have mucles there before you start to push em.

e p 10-03-2004 11:39 AM

Ok thanks guys.

I actually know some songs that are somewhat speedy and make you stetch. Very endurance testing. One of them is actually the guitar part to a song.

the only real way to get fast is to play over and over and over, untill you can play it with out even thinking

Accentopus 10-03-2004 11:42 AM

Hmm...think I should put a badass bridge on my B-205?

FUNKNBASS 10-03-2004 12:17 PM

I think every bass should have a Badass.

Espbassor 10-03-2004 12:18 PM

Good point, the black is like black black, and not just like a blackened metal right?

FUNKNBASS 10-03-2004 12:20 PM

I think so, if I understand you right.

Espbassor 10-03-2004 12:22 PM

'k I just want to make sure it matches up with my hardware. But I may end up replacing everything anyway...dunno yet.

Left Shoe 10-03-2004 12:54 PM

every once in awhile ill just be like "omg i need a conklin" i got another one of those today, either a 7 fretted or a freltess 4 , god i need money.

FUNKNBASS 10-03-2004 12:55 PM

I love conklins just not the GTs.

Left Shoe 10-03-2004 12:56 PM

whats wrong with the gt's?

FUNKNBASS 10-03-2004 12:59 PM

Bolt-on, 2 band Eq, I've played a alot better and Im not willing to sacrifice just for an extra string. Dont get me wrong they are nic basses but meh. I love all the other Conklins though.

Left Shoe 10-03-2004 01:05 PM

hmm im a fan of bolt ons and i dont have a problem with 2 band eq , so i guess i wont have a problem with this kinda bass. they just look so good.

Jamie 10-03-2004 01:07 PM

^^^^ I agree, yeah funkn, you gotta admit though, they are **** nice basses for the price!
