nothings perfect. who knows what were supposed to do with the info. but this is the only like semi-believable information we've received in months. who the hell cares if its not true. oh well, well just have to wait longer, or hopefully shorterrrr, but if it is true, then thats amazing. might as well keep our hopes up, if they crash on us, then when the album actually comes out itll be like incredible. i mean it has been almost a year since maynard ended touring with apc...and 11 to 12 song frames had already been made by the rest of the band... i mean i think the time is coming soon.

All that aside, it is a bit skeptical. It would be cool, but it's just not practical.

About that, I was wondering (unrealistically), that we change the thread name when that time comes around to avoid n00bs for a while, so we can have a proper conversation on it.

I've been thinking the same thing. One disc "Light", one disc "Dark".

Although, I really don't like the whole "2 disc" thing. I think with Tool, we won't be let down. But for some reason, the 2 disc's kinda makes it less attractive. Like it has too much baggage, and would be better off as one Cd, with less songs.

Baaaad idea. I love the dynamics from a single album, not seperating them onto two disks. Thats the mistake Opeth and Foo Fighters have made so far. (and in those cases, the light side owns the heavy)

I agree. Its a bad trend. IF they have that many "good" songs, just save them.

That would be cool if it were two discs, but if it is just one, i hope they utilize every minute of it, just like Lateralus.

123'd to hell and back.

I think opeth could have done with a single album...though i love ****ation so much.

With the foo's the double album was a good idea, they were following up one by one, so having a hard album suits their style, they just didn't pull it off.
The light side is great though. Though not a patch on their older stuff...

Double discs can work, The fragile, The Wall, The White Album.

Though my main problem with this is this light and dark thing. We only have this bundled in with the release date, if one is void, chances are the other is too :)

Think about it was a lame joke but it just said that something about the moon and I thought it sounded interesting thats all. One disc to the moon one disc to with the sun like you can only really appreciate one of the album whent eh moon is in full view and the other when it is really sunny (something that tool would do or say that they would do and the gullable fools we are we believe it)
