From here to Eternity is an ace song.
From here to Eternity is an ace song.
i could never really get into "from here to eternity". Although on occasion i will listen to it religously. ONly on a real dead one though. Studio doesnt cut it for me.
But even after racking my brain last night i forgot about wasting love. great song aswell.

purgatory 03-30-2006 12:48 AM

Most of Maidens studio songs are not as good as live ones in my opinion!
Most of Maidens studio songs are not as good as live ones in my opinion!
I can't think of a studio song that is better than a live one.

-The Frank 03-30-2006 09:19 AM

Listenin to best of the b-sides lately.....

A bit odd justice of the peace and judegment day didnt cut for the album. I thought both tracks were brilliant. Makes me wish i had more blaze....

crag 03-30-2006 09:40 AM

I've been listening to Judgement Day a lot recently, it's such an awesome song, i was really surprised that it didn't make the album.
I've been listening to Judgement Day a lot recently, it's such an awesome song, i was really surprised that it didn't make the album.
But, now to think of it, when listening, you dont really get that X-factor feeling. Which is dark and depressing. They should have just made one more album with blaze and put all the songs that didnt make virtualXI and Xfactor on it.

I just want more blaze :(

Being crushed to death by a barrage of Maiden fans i would imagine.

haha, don't worry dude, i've heard Maiden fans are a lot more laid back than other metal fans, it's the Trivium kiddies you'll need to watch out for.

!MuDvAyNiAn! 03-30-2006 01:37 PM

ye thats what i was thinking, i really wish it was someone better than trivium!

JamJar 03-30-2006 02:10 PM

I'm 14 and I survived a Dragonforce gig in the middle of the pit. You'll be fine.
I can't think of a studio song that is better than a live one.
The live version of Paschendale didn't really do justice to the album version IMO.

heh, the DragonForce pit isn't full of 20 stone bikers :p

Lord Abortion 03-30-2006 02:34 PM

I love the live version too.

the live version of Paschendale is most definitely better than the studio.
and the best version is when you're there in the crowd :)

Lord Abortion 03-30-2006 02:49 PM

This man speaks truth.

purgatory 03-30-2006 03:06 PM

I haven't seen them play that live yet!

crag 03-30-2006 03:09 PM
I haven't seen them play that live yet!
Then you should buy Death on the Road immediately.
I haven't seen them play that live yet!
/points and laughs :p

seriously though, i reckon Bruce sounded better on the night i saw them first than he does on DOTR, and Paschendale was one of the best songs.

purgatory 03-30-2006 03:11 PM

I would rather it be in person but i guess that will have to do )=

Tbh, it's not the worst pit in the world, but you have to remember that;

There are going to be 10 000 people behind you trying to get to the front, loads of people jumping up and screaming...

You'll be fine as longs as you're not a dwarf and there are no knob heads there.

It's the poseur trivium idiots don't try to make it like the stereotypical metal pit...

The solos on the live version beat the DoD version IMO.

Plus the intro kicks poontang.

They are, but Trivium is pretty awesome too.

So I learned how to play Rainmaker today. I think that's my favorite IM song. Does anyone have any idea what that tone is in the beginning? It's incredible.

Daves solo tone at the moment; is (I think) Bass and treble nearly full, mids scoop. about half way on your Reverb, some sort of combination of Phaser, Flange and Chorus, I'm still working it out. Been struggling with it since I got my V-amp 2 :upset:

The intro riff to Rainmaker is one of my favourite riffs to play..

Same here, except replace V-amp 2 with POD 2.0. I'm seriously considering investing in a POD XT and downloading a Maiden patch.

Does anyone still want paul diannos killers cd? Since i finnaly found a uploader that works for me, i can finnaly upload the cds everyone wanted. Also, i now have time.

And since rapidshare lets you have folders that hold all your upload links in you can all access everything i upload through my folder:
http://rapidshare.de/users/2OGK34

password:123456
atm, uploading paul diannos killers cd ( should be done in a few minutes )
And, since i know alot of you wanted the best of the B-sides, that should be in the folder by tommrow morning, or if i dont go to sleep, in a few hours.

And since i can now upload everything, if you want any other cd (ie.rest eddies archives or a bootleg maidens earliest known recordings) then just ask .
