^ Awsome guitar jim, very very nice! Nice pick on the maple fingerboard too.

Epiphender 12-20-2005 12:38 AM

Yeah maple's gonna be a nicer match. Can't wait to hear that, Jim. ;)

Futuro 12-20-2005 12:38 AM

The Mex strats can have nice action when set up properly. It seems like the guitar fits your personality.

Double Bass Jim 12-20-2005 12:51 AM

Yea I was set on white but I dunno this sunburst is killer, I dig it big time.

Also ordered a little practice amp for the house, I did a ton of research and saw this as the best buy. This thing has alot of options built in doesnt have reverb but i've got an alesis rack unit to take care of that

Good price too

rockindrummer 12-20-2005 12:54 AM

Wait are you buying an american strat or mexican? Anyway the sunburst is defnintly sweet, I would go with it.

Double Bass Jim 12-20-2005 12:58 AM

Mexican

Can't afford the american, still a quality instrument though.

Brokensticks 12-20-2005 01:04 AM

Awesome guitar man, I don't know much about guitars bit it looks like it would sound killer!

Futuro 12-20-2005 01:05 AM

I have the same guitar, same finish, but with rosewood neck(Basically the guitar you pictured) It took a little while for me to set it up how I like it, But once I did it became my main songwriter. Also after about 3 years my bridge pickup finally went (Longest stock pickup I have ever had) Seymour Duncans <3

I own a few guitar nowadays (Mostly 24 frets) But its nice to run through blues scales and such with a fender. (It just doesnt "Feel" right playing classic rock and blues on my Ibanez :( )

Brokensticks 12-20-2005 01:06 AM

O god guitar talk...

Double Bass Jim 12-20-2005 01:08 AM

Yea I been shoppin for awhile, I was lookin at the fat strats too, their a little to thick sounding for me though.

Tim 12-20-2005 01:08 AM

poopoo on your guitar. haha jk. im thinking of getting a keyboard as my 2nd instrument. ive played it before, took a class in highschool too. theya re fun. I might just get a $200 yamaha with a bunch of effects and can plug into a PA

Brokensticks 12-20-2005 01:17 AM

Im planning on just getting some quality cymbals rather than b9 b8 pro and westbury.... For x mas though!

Epiphender 12-20-2005 01:41 AM

Yeah i dont really trust our government to not be sneaky. So if i gotta do certain thinks the old fashioned way then so be it.

CombatWombat3 12-20-2005 02:44 PM

Man..........I love being on Christmas break....

A couple of my friends and I went sledding at about 10 last night, it was fantastic. I'm feeling it now though. We were making a jump, and we decided it would be a good idea to have someone go over it while it was still pretty loose to pack it down (the snow wasn't packable). So I volunteered. It was kind of like hitting a brick wall, except I went through it. It hurt. A lot.

But we did get the jump built, and it's one hell of a jump.

Blank 12-20-2005 02:53 PM

Ouch.
Sorry.
