What about edited....I didn't delete, just changed it. What? A new avatar?

Oh, oh....I've been busted.

(Hangs head in shame)

Riva 01-19-2005 01:54 AM

Street Fighter II rocked my socks back when my friend and I played it in primary school. :)

ArcLite 01-19-2005 01:56 AM

Only game I remember from back in the day is Super Mario 3. Man that game owned my life for a good while.

Riva 01-19-2005 02:00 AM

Haha, good clean oldskool gaming. Great times, what memories!

I think I should get my old Super Nintendo working again. And maybe my NES. :)

Bartender 01-19-2005 02:01 AM

I remember one of my sister's friends stole one of her NES games, ages ago. I was pissed off, as was she. It was a really good game, about robots or something. No one else has ever heard of it, though..

Going back even further, I remember my Commodore 64. That thing was awesome.

Riva 01-19-2005 02:03 AM

I wasn't rich enough to own a Commodore 64. A whopping 64K memory!

I remember playing Jade Quest or something on my school's computer. On the big 6" floppies.

ArcLite 01-19-2005 02:03 AM

Heh, I think I have mt NES somewhere too. I should dig it up. I'm trying to think what other games I had. I had one called Ninja Crusaders which was pretty cool and one horrid football game of an unrecalled name. I had many others but it's been so long. Good times.

Riva 01-19-2005 02:17 AM

Hey! You had Ninja Crusaders! That was the one with the first level that was in the warehouse, and you had to defeat that boss called "Tiny", which was deliciously ironic considering he was about 5 metres high. :)

ArcLite 01-19-2005 02:24 AM

Hahaha, man, I love remenissing of the good old days. You ever have N64? Goldeneye was the shit. Many hours were spent racing my buddies in Mariokart 64 also.

Bartender 01-19-2005 02:25 AM

I had an N64. Mostly for Goldeneye, and old wrestling games.

Riva 01-19-2005 02:28 AM

Goldeneye was where it was at. Running around with the sniper rifle, pissing my mates off hardcore. :)

No, the ultimate "piss people off" device was proximity mines. You could have some serious fun with those. Complex was the best MP map for mines. I still remember that sound they made when being thrown.

Bartender 01-19-2005 02:34 AM

Complex was just my favourite multiplayer map in total. We used to make up ridiculous rules for various games there, it was great.

I'm so gonna have to go to my friend's house (the one with 6 brothers) and have Goldeneye nostalgia week at some point. I haven't stayed at their house for a long time :(

Riva 01-19-2005 02:36 AM

I know. Awesomeness. Did you play Perfect Dark. With the guided missiles? Fun times were had by all. :)

/me remembers the dual cyclones

Yeah, the thought alone is bringing me dangerously close to changing my vacation from guitar shopping to buying a N64 and Goldeneye. However, I'm still not, and probably won't ever be, over Halflife 2 and all the wonderful mods that accompany it. But hell, an N64 can't cost more than a few bucks.

Riva 01-19-2005 02:39 AM

You'd be suprised. Retro gaming has given a second life to the old-school game consoles.

Yeah, we moved on to Perfect Dark when that came out. Another great game.

I've still got mine, so buying a new one won't be necessary for me. Hurrah.

ArcLite 01-19-2005 02:42 AM

I've never even heard of this Perfect Dark. Another FPS? I wonder if it can compete with Goldeneye's perfection.

Riva 01-19-2005 02:45 AM

Trust me. Once you experience a Hunter (?) rocket launcher, where you can actually control the missile while it is in flight, you will forget Goldeneye at least for a while.

That was great fun for annoying the alien-rifle campers.

.:HIM:. 01-19-2005 02:52 AM

it was a slayer rocket launcher a skedar weapon lol i was playing that game yesterday

Bartender 01-19-2005 02:55 AM

It's basically Goldeneye, taken further and improved several times over. Still had a lot of the Goldeneye multiplayer maps, too.

Riva 01-19-2005 02:59 AM

Yep. That one with the central tower, that you rigged with the laptop guns. Awesome.

ArcLite 01-19-2005 03:09 AM

Sorry, I actually had to do some work for a few minutes. I like the sound of this game. I'll pick it up if (when) I get an N64.

Riva 01-19-2005 03:13 AM

You could (maybe) find an emulator online... You could then download a hack of the game.

Again Yogi lays wisdom onto the table. Great idea chief, I'll be all over that.

Riva 01-19-2005 03:20 AM

Ah, well the Yogi not only knows all, but he had that brilliant stretch punch/kick that owned people from across the screen.

Aah, memories.

ArcLite 01-19-2005 03:25 AM

I don't know where my geek intellect is tonight. Pirating it should have been the first thing to come to mind.

Riva 01-19-2005 03:26 AM

Hehe, well, anyways, I have to go eat dinner, etc. See you all later tonight/tomorrow.

ArcLite 01-19-2005 03:27 AM

Later man, have a good one.
