I got drunk for the first time tonight and I'm a lightweight so I didn't have all that much, just two shots of vodka and three beers, and I'm pretty drunk. I was laughing at all sorts of dumb stuff tonight, I think I'm sobering up a little, I'm gonna have water and go to bed, I have work in the morning. My friend Rosie always said I'd be a loving drunk, and I am, I love everyone of my friends and everyone on MX. This is cool, I should do it a little more. This is fun. Vodka used in jello shots tastes like cough syrup.

I prefer mixed drinks myself. The Sakura restaurants have one called the Koneki Neko which is a combination of fruit juice, rum, and plum wine.

Though I do have a fondness for some lagers. Sam Adams is a favorite.

I can't stand beer either. I just can't enjoy the taste of it. I usually stick with rye and coke, or just straight rye if need be.

Vodka is great, if you're just wanting fun with friends. If you actually want to enjoy your drink though, it's less great. And it needs to be kept away from martinis.

That would do it. I never drink without having eaten something first. I'm part American Indian, so combine that with my father's side of the family for love of booze, and I'm a real lightweight myself.

Still, it can be pretty funny to watch. A friend of mine is a very happy drunk, even though his tolerance has improved a little. He once ordered a sake-tini at a tepanyaki bar. He got half-way through it before stopping, saying that a few more sips and we'd have to carry him home.

Unusually, when I drank a few weeks ago, I got drunk pretty fast. I'm a little on the heavy side and Iwas drinking on a full stomach, so I was surprised how quickly it hit me. Who would've thought six shots of vodka and four jello shots...?
