In the US absinthe can be sold but nothing with elevated levels of thujone. Even in most of Europe the absinthe is crap. It's just really really alcoholic. They probably sell most of it to tourists who don't know any different (like myself).

Usually it's a green color. When it's diluted it turns a weird foggy white.

I've shot it before too. It's all the same. The dilution is just a fancy process, if you want to pace yourself.
