It's the same gig |
:amaze: i just realized that Women In Uniform was originally sung by Skyhooks. Has anyone heard the original?
|
2 things. When they list who wrote the songs in the albums how do you kno who did what? eg. one song is Murray/Harris, whereas another is Harris/Murray? Why the difference? And does anyone know where you can get Maiden wallpapers for a mobile? I've found one site, but its rubbish.
|
I think Harris/Murray would be a song written by Steve, which Dave added ideas to, and Murray/Harris a Dave song with some of Steve's ideas added.
Smith/Dickinson/Harris tend to be Adrian's music, Bruce's words and some melody lines from Steve. |
has anyone here ever signed up for the Mailing list on the Maiden site. i just remembered that i did it about a year ago and have never once got any e-mails from them
|
I cant rememeber getting any either. Would have thought they would have done something when Death On The Road was released but they didnt. What do you prefer Can I Play With Madness on Death On The Road, or Donington. I used to prefer Donington, but now I'm not so sure...
|
I prefer the Donnington version I think.
Although I have to say: Journeyman on DotR is possibly a better live recording then Fear Of The Dark on RiR. EDIT: NP - Fairytale of New York, The Pogues. |

What is everyones favorite song off of Powerslave. Mine is either 2 minutes to midnight or Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
I used the latter for an english project two years ago. We needed to find a song about the short story Ryme of the Ancient Mariner. The song is pretty much a summary of the story. |
It has to be between, Aces High, Losfer Words and Rime...

Aces High used to be my favorite, but I listened to it too much. |
Rime or Aces high, but there are great songs like the TT and flash of the blade there too...

It's 1:40AM, I've been on the bloody JD and I've been talking to my Ex gf, I'm barely in a state of focusedness... /invents random words for no reasons Powerslave is also a great song...add that to my list |
My favorite song off of Powerslave is also the title track. I really like the "Egyptian" modes they use in the song, as well as the softer interlude.

Which Mode did they use? I'm stuck between Phrygian and Lydian... |

Actually Powerslave is A Phrygian plus some Db's and Ab's. |
