Anyone checked out [i]Sorrow and Extinction[/i] from Pallbearer? I ordered the CD last week but will probably download soon because I'm so keen for it. The demo they put out in 2010 was some killer trad doom.

I downloaded it the ohter week, have probably only listened twice. Sounded good to me and general consensus that I've read is that people dig it. It's got a very clean sound and it's definitely going to blow up like Warning's 2nd LP did so I'm sure some people will snub it, but I reckon it's pretty sweet.

My copy turned up yesterday. After a couple of listens it's pretty good. Not sure I like the new recordings of the two tracks that were on the demo as much, but otherwise the cleaner sound fits well. The vocals could also be a bit more prominent in places, but yeah, cracking debut overall.

Unfortunately I can't really think of anything I'm looking forward to hearing in Doom now...
