Today I'm really just beginning to get into the work of the Scene Creamers/Weird War people.

And Deerhoof still rocks.

BillCosby 02-11-2006 12:56 PM

Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

chiin 02-11-2006 12:59 PM

Daniel! 02-11-2006 01:00 PM

Agent Orange
Tom Petty
Gov't Mule
Yeh, my name is Jesus and Tequila. I'll add you, and you can rape away, so long as you allow me to rape yours (paradox!).
Yummy.

Happymeal 02-11-2006 01:36 PM
Prince Paul produced 1 track if I'm not mistaken. Nevertheless, it's such an awesome album. "Chemically Imblanced" has to be my favorite off of it.
I must've misread that off somewhere. My bad.

Sweet. I got into them before The Make Up, but I've concluded that their stuff's not as solid. (plus they don't have Steve Gamboa) They're awesome nonetheless. "Grand Fraud" and "AK-47" would be perfect for 70's-themed parties.
Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros - Streetcore

I'm buying this album. Awesome stuff.
That album is so good. Get Down Moses is so funky.
Agent Orange
I've been meaning to get into Agent Orange, I hear they do Descendents-style stuff.

I'm digging my usual old soul/r & b stuff today, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, etc.

Daniel! 02-11-2006 03:05 PM

Lots and lots of Against Me.
I've been meaning to get into Agent Orange, I hear they do Descendents-style stuff.
Check out them and the Adolscents. You won't regret it.

sweboy 02-11-2006 03:11 PM

Protest The Hero still blows my mind. Been digging Sigur Rós's Takk lately too.

Also, Jaya The Cat's song "Twist The Cap" is very hot at the moment.

asymm 02-11-2006 03:46 PM

Arve Henriksen - Sakuteiki
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - Henry's Dream

asdf 02-11-2006 04:10 PM

Oysterhead, Oysterhead, Oysterhead.

Zappa 02-11-2006 04:13 PM

Still really loving Moondog (1956) by Moondog. I wish I had someone to share this with.

Bukowski 02-11-2006 04:30 PM

The Big Boys - Fat Elvis
Ghost Mice - europe
Flaming Lips - At War With The Mystics

First impression of the new Flips is quite good, it's better than Yoshimi fo' sho'. New Ghost Mice is awesome. And the Big Boys are my favorite band just now.

Me too. I'm not sure what I think of it yet.

Kyle 02-11-2006 05:15 PM

I've been listening to the new Yeah Yeah Yeah's track a bit recently, I havn't decided whether I dig it or not yet. It's certainly different.

That sounds like an interesting album, going off the litte descriptions on Amazon and RYM and such.

Anyway, I've been digging little new for quite a while now, just going over older stuff, like The Beta Band, Refused, Elvis Costello, Alabama 3, Iron Maiden, etc. I have been liking Ginger's new album though, and earlier today I checked out a bit of that Vitalic album that was posted. It's pretty good to start off with, but seems to lose a bit of steam by the end.

morrissey 02-11-2006 05:28 PM

Justin Timberlake

edit: Costello, nice Tender.

Glitterati 02-11-2006 06:36 PM

T. Rex - Electric Warrior
Iggy Pop - A Million In Prizes: The Iggy Pop Anthology*
And some random David Bowie songs.

So, yeah, I'm feeling glam rock-ish today.

*Anyone have this? It's a new Iggy Pop anthology that came out in late 2005, two discs covering everything from The Stooges's first album in 1969 to his latest solo album from 2003. It's a really good selection, IMO, for someone getting into Mr. Pop.
