Incorrect. The best "brutal dm" album is Effigy of the Forgotten imo. Pyrexia, Baphomet and Rottrevore are all pretty thuggin but they made some good "brutal" stuff too.

Pyrexia is meh, I got their newest one and didn't really like it. One of the elitists who doesn't come around here much anymore used to bash them for being wiggercore so I didn't bother checking out any of their other stuff for obvious reasons. Haven't heard Rottevore and there's a bunch of bands named Baphomet.

Pyrexia pretty much are wiggercore but their first album is still decent. Most brutal dm is completely gay unless it's one of those that I mentioned, or a decent Suffo clone.

Iniquitous is good stuff but i'm with ninjamonkey, never heard any "thuggin."

I'm listening to it now. Okay, so you can hear a bit of hip hop in the mix but they pull it off really well. Same deal for Baphomet. Pyrexia is straight thuggin though, no doubt about it.

It's not worthwhile imo but I agree that it's better than NSV.

oh good you're here Obsequies. I apologize for my 'un-eliteness', but what the hell is a 'large bundle of sticks'? It's got to be the most ridiculous term I've ever heard. Also, to re-invigorate our differences, I still think Legion is horribly average.

Just to make a point, I'm not saying it's average to stir him or anyone up, I seriously don't think it's that amazing. I even wrote a review on it, for the review site. It's a well-made album, it was probably my first 'death metal' experience (the song Satan Spawn the Caco Demon), but I find it so incredibly repetitive. And don't say that 'most death metal isn't repetive' because it isn't. I've listened to Legion countless times and I still find it hard to differentiate between the songs. And, I think Benton's vocals are quite standard, nothing special at all really.

I love how all the elitists eventually phail at life on this forum.
