Yes....we know.
That post applies to yours too. |
I heard that SM was releasing a 2nd original album this year, anyone know anything about this?
I know about Keasby Nights and about BOTAR's album |
it says on the victory web site that keasbey nights release date is March 7
It said January 20th too. |
You seem real thick. Honestly, I don't know how well to reply. You gots to be dumb, kid.
atleast I know proper grammar |
I spent aaages trying to find out what he uses so I could get the same equipment as him.
Although I'm not sure what he uses after the robbery and all, but before His guitar is an Ibanez AS83 hollowbody and his amp is a digital Fender model, possibly a FM212 by the looks of it. I'm not sure wether or not he uses any paticular EQ or anything but by the sounds of it he just uses his amp's distortion whenever he needs it without any kind of other effects pedal.
Yeah I don't know about on the album but certainly live the only thing Tomas has is a little pedal with a circular button on it that he hits whenever he wants distortion. When you gots skills like that you don't need tech. |

Hmm, I'm pretty that's a foot-switch then to switch from the (amazing sounding) clean tones to the (poor quality) distortion on his amp, because all the guitarists I know (including myself I guess, but I don't make such a fuss) say that his distortion sounds seriously awful (which would come from him just using his amps distortion), but it fits quite nicely with the music and really doesn't matter when you're as awesome as Tom Kalnoky. It just goes to show how well he makes use of his equipment, considering as it would probably only cost about £600 to get the same entire guitar set up as the man himself. /must sound like a such a geek... |

yeah, it's just a simple footswitch. i have the same one. it looks like a doorbell or something. |
In the last verse of Here's to Life, it says "KBC you died much too young"
Who does KBC refer to? |
In the last verse of Here's to Life, it says "KBC you died much too young"
Who does KBC refer to?
It's KDC. It stands for Kurt Donald Cobain |

 ! Ahhhh it all makes so much sense now, since Nirvana was such a big influence for him... |

Uhhh Don't Care.
Lol |
Oink has it.
There aren't as many differences as I'd have liked. The horn lines in Walking Away and Riding the Fourth Wave are different. There's a new verse in Dear Sergio (the BOTAR verse) and in Day in Day Out. The 12341234 end is different. |
I got it.
The people I've talked to whove heard it didnt really like it. F uck them, I think its awsome. It just sounded wierd to me at first because the recording quality is ALOT better |
The first half was boring and Tomas' voice sounded bad, hopefully this version isn't mastered.
The second half was decent, but sounded nearly identical to the orginial. |
The drums and the bass are a lot better, the horns are on some tracks but not on others. It could be mastered better and the vocals are different, but the quality is still far better than Catch 22's and his voice isn't any worse than it was 10 years ago.
|
It sounds really rough to me. Maybe tomorrow I'll compare the orginial. But it could just be the lack of mastering.
|
I'd say, mastery wise, it's better than the original, but it's not on par with Everything Goes Numb.
Though a large part of that may simply be that the drummer uses a better set for this recording. |
Too much of it is the same for my taste. It says at the end of 12341234 they just wanted it to sound better than the first time.
