awesome, I'm looking forward to this FA :) I was wondering whether Johansson's accent is annoying to the many. I mean, english is not my primary language, so weird english accents normally dont bother me. However, I do have problem with weird greek accents :p. Steerpike, I know it doesnt bother you but what do other english speakers think?

I actually like accents. It usually gives the music an added color. Glenn Danzig, Rolf Kasparek, Timo Kotipelto, Tarja Turunen, Nils Johansson, Joakim Broden... They all let their accents slip into their singing and it always sounds awesome.

I really don't see any reason why people wouldn't like it.

Even though it's not power metal, i like Mikael Stanne's (sp?) accent on a few Dark Tranquillity tracks. It adds to the music.

Ok. Sabaton. I like them overall, the guitar work is impressive. I'm not to fond of the vocals, it reminds me of HammerFall a tad. They're good though. I like the guitar work in Thundergods.

I [I]must[/I] buy Primo Victoria, forgot to look for it the last time I went down town. Maybe I'll upload something off First for Fight later. I bought it along with Slough Feg's Traveller (my first SF album). Both were incredible discoveries and they're two of my favourite bands.

Slough Feg is by far THE weirdest band i have ever listened to...

I could never really get into Sabaton...like Leah said, something about the vocals just made me not like this band.

I think I got into them [I]thanks to[/I] the vocals. They add balls to the music (=not typical cheesy sounding power), if you know what I mean.

The vocals are appropriate to the lyrical subjects. They give it a coarse edge, while still maintaining a belting theatrical tone that adds to the Wagner-ian feel of the songwriting.
