Immense stuff.
This is the only one I listened to, but what is immense about repeating a one measure phrase over 3 bass drum hits per measure, cranking up reverb every 8 measures, for 3 minutes?

2muchket! 01-17-2011 11:36 AM

When you break music down like that it always sounds shit.

Why do you hate christ, he died for your sins you know.

I don't get angry Arucard, you just get wrong

HighandDriving 01-17-2011 05:04 PM
Read what you said about Skrillex's house tracks with dubstep influences, and then look at the artists I mentioned - house acts who fairly recently started to incorporate dubstep flavours into their songs. No one is confused. Also, don't mention the term fidget house in front of Deviant, he gets angry.
I won't get into how wrong your comment is cuz there is no point and I couldn't care less about Deviant emotions, whoever he is.

Oh nvm he's the guy above me... lol.

2muchket! 01-17-2011 05:25 PM

Dev is a pretty cool guy hndeezy.

HighandDriving 01-17-2011 07:36 PM

That's cool, as long as he knows this is my thread.

When we had our conversation I'd actually forgotten how incredibly good mx members are at articulating themselves in arguments are; the argument we were having was going round in so many circles I will admit my base point certainly got lost, and I didn't really explain the whole dub/house timeline thing I was trying to show very well. This basically comes down to the fact I haven't argued over the internet with the mx community for the best part of 5 years. I'd be happy to explain what I was trying to say, but I'm sure you wouldn't want me to.

And yeah, I still don't see how you saying Skrillex's house with dub flavours is good and then me mentioning two artists who make house with dubstep flavours = wrong, but ok. Just to clarify, I wasn't insinuating either Jack Beats or Faomo are dubstep haha (although Faomo obviousy does a bit of (bad) dubstep).

2muchket! 01-18-2011 12:18 PM

MX is the home to circular arguments.

Gunna do some dubstep mixes of SOAD, how you gunna act.

Arucard 01-18-2011 12:36 PM

Aha true dat bruv.

Well seeing as how I was the one saying that "fidget house" incorporated dubstep elements.......

Arucard 01-18-2011 05:16 PM

Yes, I'm aware of that - what I was trying to say at the time was that 'fidget' started incroporating those heavy dubstep influences AFTER dubstep hit the mainstream - you linked UFO, a track released in mid 2009 if I remember correctly, which is way after dubstep started getting popular. Up until that point it was just your standard 'wonky' bass sounds which could have come from any number of places (house, jump up). Foamo is a classic example of this - up until Skream etc started getting publicity, he was a straight up 'fidget' (electro house) DJ, doing the rounds at Moda with the Andy George/Jaymo crew - he then started making straight up dubstep tracks and adding the dubstep influences into his house tracks, after dubstep started getting seriously popular. I was never trying to deny that now there are a lot of fidget djs who do that kind of thing, I was just trying to expand on what I believed to be the timing of those influences coming to the forefront.

At the time, what I was trying to say kind of got lost in the conversation.

2muchket! 01-18-2011 05:21 PM

It's clarified man, yalls need to chill.

Chill to egyptrixx

Arucard 01-18-2011 05:23 PM

Wow, this is actually decent. See this is why I need to stop listening to Original Sin and start listening to the dubstep you guys reccomend rofl.

Also this = so awesome. The Egypt part reminded me haha. This is a tune Mappy would feel I think.
