Oh.

I was going to say.

Aakon_Keetreh 06-10-2006 03:50 PM

I wish i got to see the banned cover.

HAIL TRUE METAL 06-10-2006 06:39 PM

ooohhhh they shouldve said that, unless a bunch of people didnt pay attention to where it would say new album art cover. i wonder if i could possibly buy the CD online, but on a UK site and get the unbanned cover

Lord Abortion 06-11-2006 06:27 AM

I don't know if they're going to release the banned in the US one over here, or just the new one all over.

Aakon_Keetreh 06-11-2006 12:13 PM

I think there just using the new one for all over, but im not completely sure.

HAIL TRUE METAL 06-11-2006 06:03 PM

that would be unfair to all the other countries

EDIT: while i was trying to see if the banned cover is posted online i came across this fact...

According to a posting on the British extreme metallers' official web site, the original "Thornography" cover was "banned" in the U.S. by the band's record company, Roadrunner Records.

...hence, it was the US government who banned it. It was RR records who did

Insipid2000 08-04-2006 05:53 PM

Anyone still like CoF there has been **** all discussion about them lately.

Shred Danson 08-12-2006 02:18 PM

I've been lsitening to Nymphetamine a lot lately. Yes, I know that's their newest album, but I enjoy it a lot more than their previous work. Good stuff. I used to be a closet Filth fan,

Shadows 08-12-2006 02:22 PM

There's nothing wrong with liking Nymphetamine. I keep coming back to it because it's just another solid Cradle of Filth album!

That's one of the few tracks I actually enjoy from that CD. Damnation and A Day was just kinda...boring, hah.

bluewizard 08-12-2006 03:45 PM

Excuse me for making the CoF thread today. I hadn't seen one since I started posting here so I made one. I like CoF's new music releases Damnation for a Day and Nymphetamine, I really like the song Babalon AD as well as Nymphetamine. Though I havent got any CoF cd's.

Not many people, but I'd rather you do that than make a thread that isn't needed at all.

I also just watched their new DVD last night and thought it was pretty good. The end of "Mother of Abomination" was absolutely amazing!

pye phyo ko 08-22-2006 12:00 AM

yeah1! you guys are god damn right. not much chicks come up with the voice of filth

Prince Charming 08-22-2006 12:02 AM

He's nothing to shiit your pants over.

Dash 08-22-2006 03:10 AM

I wonder how "black metal" or "heavy" Cof intend to go on Thornography. I presume its going to be about the same as Nyphetamine with maybe even more effects etc added.

Yes and very gothic all the same.

If you want to know what an album will be like, just look at their last few. Figure the progression.

No need for hostility. Some bands come and suprise you.

Yeah, the concept part of it just doesn't work well.
Mannequin and A promise of fever are pretty good, as are so glad for the madness and thank God for the suffering. (especially live)

Dash 09-19-2006 01:28 AM

So wait the new album is coming and has even been leaked, yet theres been no posting here  ?

Po0sH 10-03-2006 01:08 AM

Yeah it has been leaked. I got it. It is basically a continuation of Nymphetamine. I gotta say, the first track, I think that is my favorite synth opener. It is pretty kewl, since I am a fan of Nymph.

VomitStainedCretin 10-03-2006 02:57 AM

My bassist/vocalist is a massive COF fan and has heard it 4 times. Hes also seen the video for their new single, which is a cover of the 80s song Temptation and has Danny Filth in the Garden of Eden. Ive heard this has lots of soloing on it - is this true?

Phil 10-04-2006 07:45 AM

What would be a good album to start off listening to CoF to?

VomitStainedCretin 10-04-2006 07:55 AM
What would be a good album to start off listening to CoF to?
Nymphetamine is the one usually suggested and it certainly has the most palatable production. Also, its easier to get used to Dani Filth's voice, as he uses a lot more incomprehensible and high pitched vox on their earlier stuff. Otherwise, Id suggest Midian. Note: I have not heard all that much of Cradle's vast discography, so you might want to take advice from someone with more knowledge.
