y'know that time late at night when the air crackles with inspiration and you have to write? Well it's that time again for me, but I'm listening to Dylan, and I can't write and listen to music at the same time. So I'm gonna have to skip this masterpiece.
I'm not looking for advice, or sympathy, or tough love, I just thought I'd say this.

Quote of the Day:

Anon.

This Anon feller has got it down. I would like to converse with him. Plus, his name is cool. I bet people called him Anny.

I sure wish I had some form of inspiration, and I bet I would had I not a lot of psychology homework to do. Stupid homework.

So the new Coheed cd is great. I see them tuesday. Anyone else like it?

... good lyrics ... and stuff.

Has the singer's vocals improved in any way?

I think they are too whiny. In my personal taste.

But then again, I know nothing about them lyrically. Devil in New Jersey is a cool song, though.

metaliq 09-28-2005 10:23 PM

whiney? naw, not whiney.

His vocals are just high. It's an acquired taste. Give it a few listens, then you will hate yourself for it getting stuck in your head.

And what's interesting is... well, they are writing the 4 cds after a comic book series Claudio is writing/wrote. It's pretty crazy and interesting.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 09-28-2005 10:34 PM

Coheed is overrated.

metaliq 09-28-2005 11:20 PM

I wouldnt know.

I like them so I listen to them.

Dancin' Man 09-29-2005 08:59 AM

Howdy folks. Since I've only been in S+L for a bout the alst month, I figure I should find some way to keep my post count on the rise.

EmergencyRoom 09-29-2005 09:24 AM

I've not heard any Coheed songs, whether that be a good or bad thing.

And "Anon" is a genius. He almost has as much to say for himself as "everybody", but he has more truth to his words.

This is not the place to do that, Dancin' man. You can talk about Songwriting, and lyrics, EXCLUSIVELY, Because Burt said so and I don't want this thread deleted because it's filled with spam.

I dislike the rules but they are the rules... so yeah.

I though anon was the default name for the "Ares" p2p?

I can never tell if you are being serious or not and it always makes me rofl

A_Perfect_Sonnet 09-29-2005 04:09 PM

Tojes flies a rofflecopter to work. I'm returning some crits I owe, remind me now if you need one.

TojesDolan 09-29-2005 04:23 PM

There's a LOT to crit this days, but there are about 0 replies worth reading, and it's a waste of energies making a good, proper critique.

What happened to that week when there were a lot of crits? :(

And no, I go to skool in in Roflerskates.

I can't remember if you returned one of mine from ages ago or not. My last one was Aquamarine Dreams if you can find it and find it worth a crit.

And Tojes: I've been lazy because i've been writing a lot of songs for my "band". I'll be critiquing good and proper soonish, just have to get some stuff finished first. :thumb:

TojesDolan 09-29-2005 04:48 PM

I have just skipped so many songs because they are really lame, and they tend to go really way odd... And I have like a thousand projects for Chemistry, Physics, Math, Psycology... Freaking school.

I've been lazy lately too.

I've got uni work, but not so much that i actually have to do it just yet :p

The music stuff is more of a priority just now. Really need to get it done and then audition band members. I've been lazy with practicing guitar recently also. Barely picked it up lately and that's crazy for me when i usually practice several hours a day and play whenever i'm sitting down for more than a minute.

Ha, that happens quite often. I'm not even playing and I have my guitar in my lap. it's soothing, I guess.

And yeah I saw some rap lyrics... But I baffled one because it was something like
Yo' man
get the bithcis undresed
playin hos and pimps
with tittes 2 suk

yeah boy
or something like that... Crap, it sucked big monkeys sweaty balls.

I listen to rap amongst everything else, and 113's stuff was pretty decent IMO. There have been one or two others who post some good rap stuff, but there aren't many who solely write rap on here.

Yeah, there were som lyrics that were just so bad I told the kid to get out and die... Maybe he followed my advice. Hopefully not.

Anyhow, Isn't it weird that I get from google Ads, stuff abou hello kitty? wtf. My avatar must be the one to blame.

I meant to mention that a few posts ago. :thumb:

Tojes, I'm not sure I approve of this new Avatar.

Permanent Solution 09-29-2005 07:21 PM

113 wrote good rap lyrics, especially as he was exclusively rap. /late

It was definitely nice to have that variety on the forums, plus he gave pretty decent crits. Oh well.

I've been listening to The Beloved a lot recently. The Running EP has such good screaming. Any thoughts?

A_Perfect_Sonnet 09-30-2005 01:14 PM

The broke up a while ago, but I believe you could consider them metalcore.
