Man... I was basically AWOL for a week. And I'm so sorry. This was the week from hell. (And then when I tried to get on last night.. mx was loading slower than turtles having sex.... )

... Speaking of turtles having sex.. I saw somewhere.. I think on the local news station website I read, and picture of a "confused" alligator... who was trying to screw a really big.. and probably annoyed.. turtle. :lol:

I digress.

So last saturday, I was telling you all about the realtor wanting to apraise our house.. probably to sell it and yea... That means we had to clean the house. Doesn't seem like a big deal.. or a huge undertaking.. but it is...for us. You have to figure... in my house, who cleaned the house for years and years. Me. It was my "job." I got like a measely $10 for cleaning the ENTIRE house... (and I didn't have a choice.. it was put to me one day that I'd either clean it for some money, or clean it for no money..tyrany anyone?) So when I went to college.. who cleaned the house?

No one.

Woo... that was back in 98 when I started college. So as you can probably fathom.... my house is trashed. But.. I'm not concerning myself with the rest of my house.. it's my room that needs to be cleaned... I've been working on it for a few days now... still not done...

And then on Tuesday I learned of a Student of my work, who I knew, who died. (see my thread "we lost a musician today" ) and then.. I got seriously reamed out the *** at work for something I did. A combination of crappy equipment and my brain just forgetting to do things... yep, I screwed up and then got chewed out about it. And then I had to endure meetings with the "department heads" :rolleyes: about how to fix what went wrong, etc.. I'm seriously annoyed that I am not a "department head" considering all that I have done and changed about my work. But what is holding me back is "my mouth.."

I get tons of mixed signals from work.. I try to be helpful .. and then get accused of butting in on convos... I try to keep to myself, and I get accused of being bitchy or mean. Somewhere, seeing as I am the store spy, I have to find the happy medium. :upset: red tape... lovely.

And the newsletter is due out by the 1st of august.. and the featured teacher hasn't given me his bio or his article. :angry: It takes me hours to make the newsletter and then, there is always a "can you make a graphic like.. blah blah blah.." and it's like.. omg.. could you have given me a LITTLE notice?!?!

And to top it off.. my air conditioner in my room.. DIED.

Thankfully it's cool today.. but it wasn't before and I was cleaning my room...

So I haven't been here... :upset:

And now I have to go look through what I missed.

Well, nothing has happened, besides Wintermute becoming mod. Sorry to hear about your week, LR...

My week? Let's see:

Sunday; found out my friend ows (sp?) me $60
Monday; bothered my friend because I needed the money
Tuesday; My friend left to Arizona.... with my money :upset: (for those of you counting, this is $160 I've lost, so my fretless wont come soon)
Wednesday; Played bass, did nothing
Thursday; Had to pay my friend $50 for something I broke ($210...)
Friday; Nothing
Saturday; Bass lesson, mini-jam
Sunday; Nothing...

I worked all week. Got ridiculously drunk on thursday (after work) at a party and a couple buddies ended up baby-sitting my sorry arse. Had a viscious hangover the next day, tried to go into work anyway. Went home at lunch since I threw up five times before it. Worked saturday, went to a buddy's birthday party afterwards. It was aight. No enjoying my day off. I think I'll play some golf later.

I have decided to get my butt in..........

Well, last night I was at work at a supermarket and it was under 18s night at our local night club :angry: Well, they stole two trolleys and started to 'play' with them. So me and my boss had to go out and get them. She was very calm and collected and I was the heavy muscle there in case it got ugly (6,1 and 270 pound rugby player) :thumb: Well I had to forcefully remove two of them. It was GREAT!!!!!

I also haven't been here in a week or so, but I wasn't cleaning my house or having horrible problems at work...

I was relaxing at the Ocean Isle Beach (not to brag or rub it in LR) getting a desperately needed tan. However it was with the parents and so I couldn't get drunk and party like I wanted to, but oh well-I got away from work and away from my psycho ex-gf..

..and now I'm playing bass for the first time in a week, **** it feels good

holy shoot sorry cods that sucks and is really old

though my week has been pretty heavy ive been redoing my back porch to pay off my amp and my new 4 string but its worth it to me my uprights starting to hurt my back and my 6 string just doesnt feel the same as it did but I am making a new brass nut for it :) hopefully that will bring some love back to it

Sunday: played bass, studies for an exam

Monday: had folks jump on me for not studying enough, studied, studied, studied

Tuesday: decided that if it was ment to be i would pass, played bass, studied

Wednesday: wrote the god forsaken exam, chatted to lecture about getting it marked asap so that i could register for the second part of the course (got special permission to do a third major i.e. this)

Thursday: saw my girlfriend (yay) just relaxed abnd shot the sh1t. she went off to pipe band in the evening (she plays the bagpipes) i went to see what was happening with the song festival deal at university and what my res/dayhouse was doing.

Friday: started hunting for jobs online since i now have my degree, need to get some work experience and money for trip to canada at the end of the year (i live in South Africa) (hopefully the canadians approve my visa)

Saturday: spent the day in my dads garage doing metal work and making a knife (skindoo to be exact, small dagger like blade that fits into the pulled up sock) first attempt was unsuccesful, the welding i did to join the steel handle part together cause the steel to warp.

Sunday: continued with the knife project and finished it 1X skindoo which looks most proffesional (will posta pic if people want), been doing some more job browsing otherwise that has been my week.

Misc: played bass eveyday (guess that goes without saying) and passes the blessed exam (go me)

I have an unholy amount of work for the International Baccalaureate program I'm entering next year in school, so I basically have to be working from now until school starts on summer work. And I have (no exaggeration) seven essays, and a book to be read between now and the end of the month, because my teachers decide that making us turn in stuff in the middle of the summer is perfectly kosher (which is clearly isn't).

Sorry, just bitching. Don't mind me.
