Kingofdudes 10-16-2004 09:03 AM

meh dont matter, he stopped it

SonorKen 10-16-2004 12:54 PM

I have a theory to run by you guys. Now, we talk about official threads being something created for specific purposes of keeping spam down. I am thinking about making some of the HUGELY popular band threads Official threads. Like the Opeth thread. It has 1500 replies, almost 7000 views, it isnt going anywhere so I think we should probably make it an official thread. Anyway, this is a thought, gimme some opinions........

BludgeonySteve 10-16-2004 01:18 PM

Stagefrighten, take down the polls and update the main thread for the classic rock poll.

edit: that's a good idea. I know pink floyd could use an offical thread :thumb:

Paranoidd 10-16-2004 01:28 PM

I'd like to see an official Donny Osmond thread.

Just kidding.

BludgeonySteve 10-16-2004 01:39 PM

That would zwn :)

Just kidding.

Yes, we should use that thread that is floating around.

we got a Vs. thread on our hands.

BludgeonySteve 10-16-2004 08:39 PM

[QUOTE=KingofDudes]Yes, we should use that thread that is floating around.[/QUOTE]

I think that calling it "offical" and putting it into the big threads list would work better. I mean, it doesn't get all pink floyd questions re-directed to it like The Metallica thread.

That what I ment, we should change the name of it into official.

MxNeCrOmAnCeR 10-16-2004 08:44 PM

I just signed up, Obviously Validated it. but i can't Post a thread whats up with that?

Kingofdudes 10-16-2004 08:45 PM

You have to wait a day to make a thread, I suggest you read the rules so you dont get banned.

MxNeCrOmAnCeR 10-16-2004 08:48 PM

you get banned for asking questions...

and I [b]JUST SIGNED UP[/b]

I'll breeze the rules now.

I was making a suggestion to read the rules so you dont get banned when you start making threads. You arent gonna be banned for asking a question...

MxNeCrOmAnCeR 10-16-2004 09:04 PM

whoa talk bout restrictive. Thanks though!

Kingofdudes 10-16-2004 09:11 PM

[QUOTE=MxNeCrOmAnCeR]whoa talk bout restrictive. Thanks though![/QUOTE]

Not really, we just want to talk music. Having "Whats your favorite band" threads dont create discussion. Trust me, these rules help :thumb:

Welcome to the forums

SonorKen 10-16-2004 09:12 PM

It restrictive, your right. But, you also won't have to put up with stupid people, we run them off pretty quick. Enjoy plenty of good information and fun! Welcome to the forum, how did ya hear about us?

MxNeCrOmAnCeR 10-16-2004 09:18 PM

I was actually Going though some Drum Tabs at Mxtabs.net and i noticed the Forum button lol

Guess it's gonna take a while for me to figure out what the entire Tab language means since i couldn't find a Thread explainign that in the Tab forum.

Yeah i understand why you guys have rules like this, Restrictive isn't always a bad thing.

Just curious, is there a reason why Img tags and Signatures were Wiped out?

Images would take up bandwith, and people could post porn/gross pics.

Signatures make the forums messy, especially with the number of members here.

BludgeonySteve 10-16-2004 09:21 PM

I've already sort of ran thisby Stagefrighten but... I think after the classic rock poll we should have a modern rock poll. :)

Then it will all be complete.

MxNeCrOmAnCeR 10-16-2004 09:24 PM

that might happen, but. as long as the Mods keep up it usally doesn't happen. if you look though this Website the Mods keep a whole crapload of restrictions that makes this website really good (i'm also a pretty Solid member of this forum too) Stuff has hapend here and there but it's been sturdy.

Favourite Metallica album.

SonorKen 10-17-2004 11:21 AM

I don't know about you guys, but when I log on and 5 of the first page threads are about what tickets someone got to a show it's kinda sad. You guys better cut that crap down, the forum is about Rock and Metal. Put ticket purchases in The Pit.......

BludgeonySteve 10-17-2004 11:23 AM

You could add it to the rules.

It is kind of annoying. I don't ****ing care if somebody has tickets to a concert. And i'm very sure that nobody else does.

Permanent Solution 10-17-2004 11:52 AM

Meh, there are like 10 posts about tickets and then the thread degenerate to talk about the band...which is fine if there is no official band thread...

Kingofdudes 10-17-2004 11:57 AM

Perhaps we could have a concert review thread?
