A blanket term for bands with odd time signatures and rhythms, and usually discordant riffing.

I call it mostly ****, unless you consider Ion Dissonance 'mathcore'.

Ion Dissonance have one good album, everything else they've done is pretty bad.

So bands like car bomb are mathcore.
