School. It was to help raise money for the upcoming prom.

A mixture. The crowd loved the originals it seemed.
What songs did you cover?

jpj 02-24-2006 04:51 PM
That's silly. Yelling isn't nice, why would he just go "classified, mam".
I guess not really a yell, more like a slightly raised impatient tone because she knows he can't tell her.
What songs did you cover?
Rock Around the Clock
Bat Country
Turning Japanese
Ted's Pants (Dance Dance)
5 Colours in Her Hair.
Bit too many colours but it was our second gig and it was a school gig.

Turning Japanese is a great tune.

Jev 02-24-2006 04:59 PM

We'd only practiced it once but managed it pretty well.

Did someone tape the performance?
Did someone tape the performance?
I don't think so. One of my friends got 30 seconds worth of audio though
I'll have to ask around if anyone's got any recordings, I'd like to hear it.

Cain 02-24-2006 05:20 PM

Wow, mxtabs is back. I had no idea until just now. Fantastic. This is quite pleasing.

It came back yesterday I believe and yes, it is fantastic.

Have the RIAA backed down or has Jeremy just put it back up?

GenuineImitation 02-24-2006 05:27 PM

It was the MPA, not the RIAA. I think he put it back up to stick it to the man. I don't think they backed down.

Oh right, I get the two confused.

Nice one Jeremy.

There's an ad for 80x80 avatars at the bottom of the screen. What a tease. :(

Jev 02-24-2006 05:53 PM

Who needs 80x80 avatars when I have the flashing H-A-P-P-Y-!?

What program did you use to make that?

Jev 02-24-2006 06:04 PM

JASC Animation Shop.

So are you as surprised as I am that Tri hasn't taken the abortion thread and turned it into a homophobic rant?
He an old friend?
Yep, he's backpacking in Europe for a few years.

Illmatic 02-24-2006 08:13 PM

Man I can't seem to find a decent party around tonight.

I missed out on the travel talk. I've been to 22 US states but the only foreign countries I've been to are Canada and England. We just haven't been able to afford to travel to many places and now that I'm in college and there's a baby we definitely won't be able to go anywhere.

Shadows 02-24-2006 08:49 PM

I've never really traveled my entire life. It really blows. :upset: I've been to...five US states, all of which are basically directly connected to Ohio, so it didn't feel adventurous at all. I've never been out of the country, not even to Canada. :(

And now that I really want to leave home and go away to college, my parents are freaking out about it. I could rant for hours on this topic but I'll spare you. :p

Where do you want to go to college?

Shadows 02-24-2006 08:52 PM
Where do you want to go to college?
Florida. Whenever I say this, people always assume I'm just trying to live in some tropical paradise, and blah blah blah etc. etc. I honestly don't care about the state at all (since I love snow so much), but I found some great schools that are far from home. That's all I really care about.

Deth 02-24-2006 08:54 PM

Come to UF, that's where I'll probably end up.

That would rule.

Thats Gainsville right?

Deth 02-24-2006 08:59 PM

Yeah. It's the best school in the state (apparently) and with me being in state and having a good GPA, SAT scores and so on, I'll probably go there.

GenuineImitation 02-24-2006 09:04 PM

I would have gone there because we were supposed to move to Florida last summer. My mom decided not to, so we stayed. My ACT, SAT and GPA scores were right where they should be or slightly higher. I would have probably gone, but now I dont want to go that far away.

Where in the state do you live. I was going to move to the Fort Myers/Bonita Springs area.

Deth 02-24-2006 09:11 PM

I'm close to Ft. Lauderdale. I actually can't stand Florida and I'm not planning on staying long after college.

It seems boring. Its fine for vacation, but living there all year seems kind of dull. Maybe it was because the West Coast of Florida is more for retired people. We go there on vacation because my grandmother lives there.

Shadows 02-24-2006 09:22 PM

No one ever likes their home state. I hate Ohio with a firey passion and I'm pretty sure I'd like any state better than this. Plus I have some friends down in the area of Florida I'm going to, so I won't be alone.

I like Pennsylvania a lot, and I absolutley adore Philadelphia (aka Illadelphia aka Illadelph Halflife).

Of course, there are always exceptions...

But I'd still like anyplace better than Ohio. This place has nothing but the memory of glass, a legendary amusement park that I've been to so many times I don't give a damn anymore, and burnt out Jeep plants.

I used to live in New Jersy and I liked it. I now live in New York and I love it.

No, not really. Some of my best friends live in Jersey and I only moved two years ago. The area I lived in was 30 minutes from Manhattan and there was always things to do.
