No? I said she doesn't post in here enough; As in, not compared to as much as she used to.

Futuro 07-13-2005 05:29 PM

i just barely made it in the top ten posters

the band i was in were being assholes so i left them, so no chance of me recording anymore, call me a one hit wonder :p

they have been apologizing like crazy today, urging for me to change my mind, but i told them they can suck a rod (my exact words....i suck at burning people) that was the end of that.

What did they do?..

Move to Denmark and become my drummer, I promise I'll be nice to you

Oh, allright. I got what you meant, but I was in the 'prove wrong' mode. :p

Marshall- Suck a rod, nice. Perhaps you'll get those 20 a day in again?

Futuro 07-13-2005 06:05 PM
What did they do?..
i wanted to get down to business, and write originals, everyone said "ok do it your self" i made up a few riffs then they said "it sucked", i said "well make it better", they said "stop being a bitch about writing songs" i left, and they regret saying it.

denboy 07-13-2005 06:19 PM

That's pretty crappy...
That reminds me, I talked to my dad today.. He's a former drummer, and we talked about his carrier.. At his bands peak, they made around 3000 bucks a month, and that was 30 years ago.. Wich I guess would be equivilent to making 6000 bucks a month now... And this was doing covers.... My dads biggest regret is that they never sat down and wrote any originals....

I also found out that my dad started drumming while the band was touring, before that he was a trumpet player.. Then the drummer ditched them in the middle of a gig, and my dad took his place.. First time drumming for real, and it's in front of an audience.... Ouch.. And back then they played a show every night.. So he learned how to play drums while hundreds of people watched him play

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-13-2005 06:36 PM

He made 3k himself, or as in the entire band? :-/

Oh, and Knifeboy, you will be happy to know that I bought Catch Without Arms. It's great so far.

3k per person

:D..
I still haven't been able to find it anywhere here in Denmark! :upset:

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-13-2005 06:42 PM

Have you downloaded it? It's very nice. Good piano lines every once in a while. So far, my favorite track would be Jamais Vu. I'm now listening to Sang Real, and it's also one of my faves. I think I'm going to redo the review that's on Sputnik, as it's pretty bare.

Kage 07-13-2005 06:43 PM

Jamais Vu is my favorite song from CWoA as well.I was going to do a Suptnik review for it as well.

Lateralias 07-13-2005 06:44 PM

Hey guys! I've been gone a couple of days.. any new Tool info or rumors??

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-13-2005 06:46 PM

I've never reviewed an album on Sputnik, but I'd like to get into doing a few, and since the one on their was pretty bleak, I figured I could redo that one. Have you done one before, Kage?

denboy 07-13-2005 06:46 PM

Ode to the sun is my favorite.. And I downloaded it 5 minutes after it leaked.. Hehehe.. Plus, I've had the demos and live videos of the songs for like a year or something... They wrote those songs 1½ year ago.. But due to the record company wanting it to be released at the right moment, it didn't come out earlier.

Yeah, I've written several reviwes, but not all of them are on there. There are about five I'm working on right now that I'm not done with as well.

There are the three reviews I have on Sputnik.

denboy 07-13-2005 06:55 PM

I think it's a shame so many people thinks El Cielo is only a 4/5

Huber 07-13-2005 07:02 PM

I plan on doing reviews soon. For which albums I'm not sure...

Magicaltroll 07-13-2005 09:27 PM
Blizzard of Ozz-Ozzy Osbourne
Wish You Were Here-Pink Floyd
Lateralus-Tool
Ænima-Tool
Mezmerize-System of a Down
Greatest Hits-Red Hot Chili Peppers
Houses of the Holy-Led Zeppelin
Frances the Mute-The Mars Volta
Evil Empire-Rage Against the Machine
Greatest Hits-Guns 'N Roses

That's what I got. Not much, but I love those CDs.

I'll take Mer de Noms or Thriteenth Step, if you like what I got.
You're missing De-Loused In The Comatorium by Mars Volta!
This post is kinda old, I know, but whatever.

EDIT: fix'd

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-13-2005 09:30 PM

Do you have that bass yet?

Oh, and he has FtM...

Oh, ok then, good job! I'm tired... So I probably missed it. Or got it confused.
And no I don't, I think you would be better off finding someone else, my friend keeps putting it off. And I just moved pretty far away from all my friends and stuff, so its gonna be harder to get it now. I thought this would be done a looong time ago.

Sorry.

Huber 07-13-2005 10:59 PM

Magicaltroll 07-13-2005 11:18 PM
what song are you trying or going to record?
It was supposed to be Aenima and Stinkfist, but I can't get a bass.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-13-2005 11:21 PM

I think I'm gonna use my whammy pedal and get an octave down, and record Stinkfist on bass.

dUSK 07-13-2005 11:46 PM

So it's been 48 hours since my last post in this thread and you guys went through 27 pages. I know your all excited about this stuff but maybe you should tone it down a little.
Hey everyone should stay on late and we'll have a late night tool talk like we used to back in the day.
There's too much crap about cereal, testicles and stuff like that in here.

BlindWriting 07-13-2005 11:47 PM

I'm gone for five days, and there are almost forty new pages! What the hell.

Anything new?

Magicaltroll 07-13-2005 11:48 PM

Read it and weep

malignant5050: Hey, Im from the Official Tool Thread on MX. I was wondering if you could maybe give me some clues with the new Tool album. Since you said you would do that in one on one conversation.
Neeshacker: ah yes
malignant5050: Im not really sure what to ask, haha
Neeshacker: can i trust you?
malignant5050: yeah
malignant5050: if you mean not telling people on mx, yes
malignant5050: or anyone else really
Neeshacker: yes
malignant5050: yeah you can
malignant5050: so have you heard any new songs or anything?
Neeshacker: nope
Neeshacker: ill tel u i a sec
malignant5050: ok
Neeshacker: ok
malignant5050: k
malignant5050: so do I ask you a question? Because Im not sure if you're typing something or not
Neeshacker: oh yes
Neeshacker: ok
Neeshacker: well the concept of the album is light
Neeshacker: eclipses the mooon
Neeshacker: etc.
Neeshacker: the release date is Sept. 25th
Neeshacker: with that being said
Neeshacker: and the morce code
Neeshacker: read this
Neeshacker wants to directly connect.
Neeshacker is now directly connected.
Neeshacker: ***-**--*-- = original symbol
Take the first 6 characters, because generally in a date there are 6 characters, for example (09/25/05)

***-**
There are 5 stars altogether, each with 5 points.
The first 3 stars, if multiplied by their points (3 x 5) would be 15.
The second set of stars, then multiplied by their points (2 x 5) would be 10.
This adds up to the 25th, the day of the last quarters of the moon, but Sundays are generally not days for a CD to be released.
Therefore the line, which is one by one persay, would simply be 1 and when added to the others would be 26, Monday.

--*--
The second 5 characters are the month.
Once again the star rule applies, 1 star multiplied by its 5 points would be 5.
When added to the four lines, this makes the ninth month, September, whose day the 25th is the last quarter of the moon.

Blair also affirmed this date, and added he could not make the information obvious at all to his fans, therefore he made it almost impossible, especially by putting the day before the month.
malignant5050: wow
malignant5050: thats awesome
Neeshacker: yeah man
malignant5050: thank you very much for stelling me this stuff
malignant5050: so is it going to be very heavy or was tool just messing with us or something?
Neeshacker: no idea on that
malignant5050: ok
malignant5050: well, thanks agian for telling me that

BlindWriting 07-14-2005 12:42 AM

WOAH.

How did you get this? Holy crap! September 25th!

Who is Neeshacker? And when did Blair confirm that date?

Dude3 07-14-2005 12:47 AM
