The part where Steven Wilson sings is the single part in any Opeth song that got me into the band. It's so incredible...I can't even describe it.

Plus if you don't have enough money then you can watch the entire thing on YouTube. Just search Opeth and just about every song will show up from the DVD. The quality is fairly good, too.

The only thing I dislike about that concert is A Fair Judgment is way too slow.

Yeah, ending the album on "Ending Credits" would have been so much better. I love that song.

The thing about the song is the depressiveness.


It's a really, really dark song. I really liked it when I watched it live in the Lamentations DVD.

It's just really...boring.

Weakness is sort of pretty but in order to be a really good song it would have to do something other than just focusing on that same theme for the whole song.

I don't like Weakness much as a standalone track, but as a closing to Damnation I think it works perfectly.

I like Mike's voice in Weakness, but I loathe the synth.

It's just a reaaly musically unadventurous song. I mean, in a way being really minimalist is being adventurous but it's not what I like at all. I enjoy Opeth because they experiment with unconventional chord progressions and melodies and such. Weakness doesn't do that at all.

The lyrics are awesome as is the music.

It's the minimalism that makesw it beautiful. It's just a pair of chords in the mellotron and Mike only plays... what, 6 or 7 notes?

I suppose you're right, yeah. But I still enjoy it.

What I like about Weakness is that it is by far the heaviest track on the Damnation record yet it's also the most quiet. There's a depth to it, a kind of quiet desperation.

Definitely. The first time I heard Weakness I found it incredibly depressing, something I don't need more of right now. I love Ending Credits. It's amazing how a simple I-IV-V progression with a basic blues solo can sound so fresh.
