you bought it?

ashman 10-15-2005 11:36 AM
you bought it?
No, I downloaded it. I'd go buy it if I liked it, but the Production is all screwy. Janick is terrible, Dave isn't that great and you can't even hear H. I hope the DVD's better.

Seconded.I don't even have the CD.

I'm currently ordering DOTR off Amazon.

YDload 10-15-2005 12:08 PM

I have Rotosound flatwound strings on my bass now

And no, I didn't play The Trooper for MXaiden. I can't keep up the two-finger galloping triplets for the whole song, unfortunately.

andyhainey 10-15-2005 01:22 PM

whats happeninh to Mxaiden anyways? who is doin drums

JonG 10-15-2005 01:24 PM

'Sup first post in the Maiden thread. In the past few days I've aquired 14 Maiden albums and liking them all. I had lots of songs before, just not albums. What's your favorite live albums?

/bored

Jackson_Guitarist 10-15-2005 01:28 PM

Hello Maiden fans, What is your favorite maiden instrumental? Mine would have to be Genghis Khan.

Yeah, BNW is one of the most shiver inducing maiden songs there is.

Transylvania

classicrockman 10-15-2005 03:55 PM

Transylvania would have to be my favorite Maiden instrumental as well. :)

crag 10-15-2005 04:18 PM

probs transylvania

mx is confusing now:upset:

clairvoyant 10-15-2005 04:52 PM

Hmm most likely Transylvania.

crag 10-15-2005 04:59 PM

heh, i just listened to that bit at the beginning of Still Life backwards:) i still can't work out what nicko says though, anyone know?

GenuineImitation 10-15-2005 05:01 PM

I would have to go with Transylvania.

the_uber_penguin 10-15-2005 08:20 PM
i suppose we could do that but it was Ubers idea to start Mxaiden so we should porbably consult him first.
Go for it.

If anyone sends me a guitar part or bass part I'll add my vocal to it. I'm not sure who's drumming atm, but using the HBTN drum track seems like a good idea. I just can't sing in key without an instrument for reference, if you know what I mean.

Jackson_Guitarist 10-15-2005 08:25 PM

I think Transylvania is overrated.
heh, i just listened to that bit at the beginning of Still Life backwards:) i still can't work out what nicko says though, anyone know?
Apparently its

"What ho sed de t'ing wid de t'ree bonce. Don't meddle wid t'ings you don't understand."

or "Listen, said the thing with three heads. Don't mess with things you don't understand." Nicko says its his Idi Amin impresssion.

Apparently there's a backwards message on TMTM as well: "HA-HA bet none of you find this. Why on Earth are you listening to Iron Maiden? They Suck!"

the_uber_penguin 10-15-2005 08:48 PM

Still Life and Two Minutes To Midnight

Poofy 666 10-15-2005 09:37 PM

subliminal messges are the best :chug:

smart blockhead 10-15-2005 10:14 PM

Genghis Kahn is the best instrumental.

Ok, next "Best". What do you guys think is the best installment of the Charlotte the Harlot saga? There's Charlotte the Harlot, 22 Acacia Avenue, and uhh that other one! I say Charlotte the Harlot.

:upset: :upset:

favorite instrumental:transylvania

subliminal iron maiden message: on the "Powerslave" album on the song "Back in the Village". Listen to the part when they say "sixes all the way". If you have good hearing then in the background theirs someone else saying "six six six". - taken from some dude on the eggs site

not really subliminal but still "cool"
