I got bored of TCHB. The solo was tricky and I didn't feel like putting in the work. Other than the lead riff, it's rather boring.
I got bored of that Shadows Fall solo, I got most of it down well. Then lost interest.


So I'd like something heavy, good leads but heavy. What should I learn or try to learn?

Any CoB songs ideas? (SNBN & Bed Of Razors or any with tons of sweeps are out of the question)

Hmm. I'll give it a shot. I tried a while back and the finger positioning was a total bitch.

My sweep picking is laughable. I just alt pick fast as hell or can't play it.

The only sweep that Bed of Razors has is a sweep that you could pull off with alt picking.

Norther - Of Darkness and Light (really most Norther solos are easy, just alt picking up and down the scale :lol:)

Imperanon - Shadowsouls (The solo not the sweep part)

I was playing the solo to You're Better Off Dead, such a good song!!

Oh and I got the Foul Body AUtopsy sweeps up to 160 today, first try.

Well, I can play the whole solo apart from the fukkin' fast picking lick he plays after the bends, that's HARD!. (Bodom)

And the Necro solo would be much easier if it didn't have the 16th in it, if it was all triplets, I'd be able to do it.

I've been having problem playing because I tweaked my right elbow and it feels kinda weird. It'll just lock up, then I have to stop playing and snap it a few times. (Don't say go to the doctor) (No bones are poking out so I'm fine).

It kinda effects my typing speed as well. lol.

Anyway enough bitching....

I've been writing some of my own stuff.
I'm working on coming up with a lead riff to fill after the intro, but I'm having a tough time with that. I have the sound in my head that I want, but I can't ever decide which way I like w/e better.

Noooo lol, You're Better Off Dead. I only know the main solo, except the fast picking lick as I said, but both solos are pretty bitchin' it's at 190-200bpm.

Also, I've been working on the classical sounding lick of Kissing The Shadows. It's the part right after the first set of vocals. I learned it awhile back but it was horribly sloppy and I'm trying to clean it up now. I also might try to learn other parts of the song just because it's awesome, hehe.

You could try Chokehold but the rhythm for that song is by far harder than the lead. The main riff and that interlude riff in Dmin, which transposes to Gmin.

I might, I need to get the sweeps clean and I havn't learned the solo, but I'll try. :)

I just mean the intro anyway, it's the only bit I'm interested in.

I'm planning on making a video soon with me playing that intro.
