Yes, it is a masterpiece. They are rivaling Electric Wizard these days. I hope EW's next album is better than Witchcult. I was a little disappointed with that one.

Witchcult is probably their best after Dopethrone. I don't know what you are talking about.

I think a few songs on it are amazing but some just didn't do it for me. Dopethrone and Come My Fanatics are devastating I don't think they will ever make those kind of albums again though.

I love everything on Witchcult. Come My Fanatics is also really ****ing good, I like them all tbh :p

Although not exatly 'doom metal', I really enjoy Sunn O))). I just listened to "the Sinking Belle (Blue Sheep), "the Sinking Belle (Black Sheep) and the third version, "the Sinking Belle (White Sheep)" in succession on youtube. Very beautiful, almost an religious experience. Everyone should try it.

Clutch isn't really stoner doom, just stoner rock but they rule. All their albums are pretty good, I still like the earlier stuff the best but the new more blues rock is awesome too.

Sunn is one of my favorites but I hope you know that those tracks are Sunn and Boris not just Sunn. Most of Sunn's stuff is drone doom and way darker.

Some of my favorite tracks off those are Hoodoo Operator, The Yeti, Ship of Gold, Muchas Veces, Big News 1, Texan Book of the Dead, I have the body of John Wilkes Booth, Sea of Destruction and Guild of Mute Assassins.

I've been a huge Clutch fan since early high school so I've dissected their discography. Seen them live 3 times too. They are just really fun to listen to and remind me of all kinds of good times. Niel Fallon's lyrics are great and his voice matches.

yeah Altar is great. I think The Sinking Belle is one of my top 3 favorite songs of all time. Once I listened to it with a bunch of friends when we were high and everybody was blown away, speechless through the whole song except for some "wow" "omg" "holy shit"s

Oh yeh, sorry, forgot to mention Boris. I have 'a lot' of their stuff (Sunn, I mean), and I have seen them live twice. The last show I saw (think it was in february) was a k-i-l-l-e-r. They really know how to build up an experience. I even saw Trentemøller, that danish electronic DJ/musician if you know him, there. He looked like it was nothing he had ever seen before :)

If you people are interested in some evil ambient, and I mean evil, try listen to Lustmord "Black Star". I think he just sampled Hell and released it.

Edit: Since I just discovered there is a thread for ambient; is there a seperate thread for drone and sludge metal or what? I don't come here too often, so stuff like that just goes by over my head.
