whitesquares, take pictures. Talk to the seller, and if he doesn't offer to remedy the situation in some way (either w/ full refund or paying your back for the repairs), you can file a complaint with eBay and PayPal. Buyers have the serious edge nowadays, so you'll be fine, especially given that it's under $500.

Yeah, so far, the seller has agreed to pay $100 for the repairs, but I want him to pay for 100% of the repairs. Granted, I'll probably get a Seymour Duncan pickup put in the bridge instead of the stock Fender Enforcers, which will run a bit extra, so I have no problem paying cash on top of what a new Enforcer costs, but the labor, etc., should be the seller's responsibility. He, after all, sold me a guitar that does not meet the standards he described. The whole kit and kaboodle (the guitar plus shipping) was $595, though, not under $500. I'm pretty sure I'm still covered by Buyer Protection, though. The odds are definitely on my side. eBay would rather have satisfied buyers than sellers, I'd imagine. |

I just meant that anything under $500 is chump change and puts you into no-questions-asked territory. Take pictures. It's not unreasonable to have the seller pay for 100% of repairs, minus the cost of the new pickup. The wiring alone shouldn't cost more than $100. Hell, I could do it for less than $100. |
Anyone know that dubstep track by Mt Eden called Sierra Leone?
I'm trying to find a version of it without all the 'wobwobwobwobwob' LFO action going on, as I hate that part of dubstep so much. I like the rest of the vibe of the track though, it's kinda like a chilled out Roger Sanchez, and I'd love that on my iPod. Anyone know where I could find such a thing? Or possibly the individual tracks so I can remix it myself to not be a dubstep song ¬_¬ My google-fu has failed me thus far. |
dubstep rides primarily on lfo though....
|
yeah. i don't like dubstep as a general rule. i just think it'd probably be a decent enough track to stand on its own without the LFO.
infact, i'd love to do a more breakcore remix of it - more glitched up, some proper drums and tight sub bass, rather than just WOBWOBWOBWOBWOBWOBWOB |
Ah, I can't stand dubstep. It's just not my bag.
|
the ONLY time dubstep is good is in a place where you can crank it loud, and get the full feeling of the bass from decent subs. so basically just in clubs. for home stereos and mp3 players, its pretty lame.
its also good when you're high apparently. i've never been high and listened to dubstep though ;p all in all though, dubstep seems like a bit of a fad anyway, so we'll be back to proper drum n bass soon enough :) |
I've never listened to dubstep with a sub, so I guess I can't be fairly biased against it.

Rumor has it that they may have discovered the Higgs Boson at Fermilab.
We'll see how this pans out. |
I read some pretty speculative rumours too, nothing concrete seems to have eventuated.
Seems to have been some excitement across the street, heard some banging/screaming/shouting kinda going on and seems to have subsided. It's just on 4 in the morning here so a bit unusual. I did a perimeter check with the old baseball bat and everything seems to be in order. Out of character for the street though, it's a windy night though, that's probably it. what's that the wind |
I live in a unit now, no trouble of anyone breaking in, I enjoy it.

Deaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

Damnit. In-state tuition for ASU went up to $557 per credit hour. One 3-credit class + fees = $1781, and I still have to buy the book on top of that.
Looks like I'll be getting a second job next summer. I hate America, where education is a business. |
Education is expensive here too depending on where you go, but yeah, I feel you even more for that reason.
|
A $100 /cr tuition increase from the spring semester is just outrageous though.
I suspect it's because the head honcho of ASU wants one of these: http://www.caranddriver.com/news/car/09q3/2011_bentley_mulsanne-official_photos_and_info |
Man, isn't it treason for an American to drive a Bentley?
Man, isn't it treason for an American to drive a Bentley?
Hell no. True Americans are all about luxury imports and outsourcing. That's why all of the American companies are tanking. |
America does seem to be going down the drain a bit.
Maybe in a thousand years America will just be South Canada, or New Korea. Personally I'd rather see South Canada. Nobody is rooting for North Mexico. |
I always got a sense that Americans don't like things that aren't made in America, on the whole? ;p

Because American products are expensive, lack innovation, and all customer support is direct to India anyway. There are some companies, like Hipshot, that I will stand by for their amazing work and customer service. |
North Mexico as you know it will eventually be known as Canada B2.
Man, wishing Fallout New Vegas would come out sooner. |

i feel like an animal its 99 degrees outside
I live in Phoenix. It's a measly 111 degrees F outside (for Americans) Conversions: 43.89 degrees C (for everyone else) 317 K (for the science geeks) 570.7 R (for 6 or 7 engineering people on the planet who actually use it) |
