I'm pretty sure Dave doesn't play a '71 Strat
What does he play then?

Also, did you notice 'Talking out of ones arse' comment. :p

Thunder Fingers 10-11-2005 03:39 PM

Arry Mainly play 70's Precisions even if he dont play his main bass, i dunno why he have a sig, it have never been seen used by him inm anything other than the "rainmaker" video...

In Aces High you can see a Lado Steve Harris Unicorn...

In run to the hills a Ibanez Roadster...

And he also was to be seen with Fender Jazz Basses in the Early days(before ST..)

Surtr 10-11-2005 03:47 PM

I can't stand the strat style guitars...occasionally I'll get mine out and play it, but usually not for Maiden. I play my Jackson warrior for Maiden stuff and most of my own writen stuff.

classicrockman 10-11-2005 03:48 PM
Whoa...

I thought everyone loved Somewhere In Time...
I think that was my quote but yeah, it's not one of my favorites.

But the Derek Riggs cover art is really good.

the_uber_penguin 10-11-2005 03:57 PM

I have a picture of Davey with a Squire strat somewhere!

I think they all use Fender's live now.

Thunder Fingers 10-11-2005 03:58 PM

^^ Adrian Have Been seen Sporting A Gibson SG this Tour, and on DOD tour he was seen with a Jackson V.

The Somewhere in Time cover art is one of my favourites, there's so many references to Maiden songs on it.

ashman 10-11-2005 06:32 PM

Agreed, such cool album art.

smart blockhead 10-11-2005 06:49 PM

Murray is definitely better than Adrian.

So that's what it is. I want me one.

I never like P-Basses all that much though.

classicrockman 10-11-2005 07:03 PM

Clive Burr > Nicko McBrain

Does anybody else think the same?

smart blockhead 10-11-2005 08:31 PM

So far, I have found Somewhere In Time to be a dissapointment. Maybe I just need to listen to it more. It doesn't seem up to Maiden's normal standard though.

clairvoyant 10-11-2005 08:35 PM

Man...am I the only who LOVES Somewhere In Time?

CSIT, Deja Vu...awesome stuff

I do like Alexander the Great a lot. How does SSoaSS compare to SiT? Simialar kind of stuff? Better? Worse?

I got the Metal Hammer special on Iron Maiden, its very cool.

vashts80 10-11-2005 11:12 PM
sorry, but death on the road wont be the last one. In some interviews bruce talked about the next installment of history dvds, aswell as what the next history tour is going to be based on ( powerslave, somewhere in time, and live after death) so if there is going to be a tour, there will be a dvd.
Death on the Road is the last DVD in the series. As in, if they were released in sequential order, DotR would be the last part of the series. However, DotR is being released now and then they're doing the rest of the series. No idea why they're doing this, but whatever. Unless I misunderstpod your question, but I don't think they'll be doing a next "History of" concept tour for awhile, since the new album will be out late '06 and they're gonna tour to support that as well as doing the next DVDs for the history of disc (probably Powerslave to Seventh Son)

burce said there will be a history tour of powerslave, live after death, and somewhere in time around '08

yah dude the metal hammer special is awesome, i got it about a week or so ago.

ssoass is more epicish kind of stuff, all in all its a ton better then sit.

it also has a lot more use of sythesisers.

Thunder Fingers 10-12-2005 05:33 AM

Nononononono...

Death on the Road is Just a Concert DVD... have nothing to do with the series...

Lord Abortion 10-12-2005 06:41 AM

I wouldn't mind the bootleg.

'08? That sucks.
i think you found the squire picture in one of the cd booklets. I could be wrong but i think its in the piece of mind one.
Sounds about right. It's actually in Run To The Hills: the caption reads:

"Recording Piece Of Mind at x studio's."

As for the Adrian vs. Davey thing, I think Adrian does more technically difficult stuff, but Davey is faster.

There's not really much between them.

yah but we still get a album tour in '07 i think.

i would very much like the bootleg :)

Nope...they are about equal..

Adrian is by far more technical, even though he doesn't show it...have you tried to play his solo to Paschendale?

And the website said that DotR was the last in 'History of Maiden' DVDs...
