A bit of a realization on my part. I'll type it all out later, tomorrow perhaps, but not tonight. After I type it I will be open to discuss/defend my views.
Basically, the reason I have been on these boards has been my interest in Metal above all. Recently I have gotten sick of the music though, as too much garbage is out there and it is just frustrating finding new bands. Even the old bands don't sound as good as they used to to me. perhaps I am simply losing my ear for metal or need a break from it. Currently I've been getting into ambient and EBM and I am quite happy listening to these types of music. Also, I have been lagging in my instrument (upright bass) practice and enthusiasm since I am on the computer too much, due to MX. And since I really want to get into music in college I need to get practicing and I also want some time to hang with friends/go places and ****. I guess, I'm not leaving more than just not being regular anymore. You'll still see me every so often I guess, simply because there are so many great posters on here. As to Mirkwood, my friend wants to sell the music to a band who will then record it (and make profit from it) since he is to lazy to record and his computer won't let him record MIDI for some reason. I also feel I have achieved what i wanted to with the band (a outlet for my metal tastes) and since I am no longer intrigued by the genre I feel no urge to continue making music inspired by it.

Anything that needs clarification, feel free to ask.

This is really really depressing man :(

Inpropagation 07-22-2006 04:12 PM

Ahh, damn, will you still be on slsk at all?

Silenius 07-22-2006 04:35 PM

I'll still be on slsk, maybe away from the computer but it will still be on around the clock. I'll also check e-mail and stuff, and will be on last.fm and the summoning forum every now and then. and I will still be here too, just not posting 20 times a day. ;)

Prince Charming 07-22-2006 05:02 PM

Alright. Good luck sir. You'll still stop by every so often, right?

Riva 07-22-2006 05:17 PM

Renaming threads now guys. Be a while.

Prince Charming 07-22-2006 05:19 PM

Sup jason? Yeah. I can't see why there isn't any decent action taken to prevent this? Jeremy said on AIM he'd turn off links, but didn't and now this.

Yes, like if I see something very informative, or something important, or something VERY idiotic.

Anyways, I'm off to read, it's been a while since I read a good book, this Moorcock book The Skrayling Tree looks good.
This is a huge convenience, but it has become necessary due to the hackers. If you are angry, blame them.

You are going to be logged out a lot more frequently, pretty much whenever you leave the site or the browser. Just log back in, and be comforted by the fact that its preventing hackers from being too evil.

Sorry
but but but. I change sites in the same browser and come back and be logged in. I can exit my browser, there's far less time til log out on that though.

Jeremy can only do so much, especially if he doesn't know where the XSS holes are.
I know, I know. That's what he said on AIM, he doesn't know where they are and if there are any/how many on sputnik.

Riva 07-22-2006 05:28 PM

Wish, you're avatar is in time with Slipstream by Mike Oldfield. Heh.

Alright guys, that should be it. Keep me posted on any other errors.

Riva 07-22-2006 05:52 PM

Got it. Thanks.
@Riva: where are you from? if you have icq, add me and we can talk in german if you want...

@Silenius: the same as to Riva... but i'm right now, not that often in icq as i used to be, cause i'm at my parents house right now... but when the university starts again, i'm 24/7 :thumb:

what are your motivations to learn german?
I don't have ICQ, but I can tell you I am from Australia.

I'm learning German for fun, mainly, though it'd be nice to have a second language that I'm fluent in... since I've forgotten half of my latin.

Shadows 07-23-2006 12:25 PM

We have decided that we (us regulars) would like the Blind Guardian thread...

http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417477

...to be renamed "Noldor - Thread Winter Reigns (Blind Guardian)"

-ShadowsFallen on a secondary account

Jom 07-23-2006 07:23 PM

I was honestly hoping that there would be no more retarded thread titles anymore, but if they're still going through with that, then no worries from me.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-23-2006 07:26 PM

Yeah, they're kinda gay :-\

Stormrider 07-23-2006 07:37 PM

The R&M's Inferno(Iced Earth) one was pretty cool though...

Riva came up with it :p

Prince Charming 07-23-2006 07:40 PM

If we're going to have another Mod,

Jom should just become a SuperMod. He's always on, top 5 site users and an overall nice/smart guy.
