And I watched The Last Waltz today. That really is a great movie. The Band is really cool.

clapton was god in the 60s and 70s, from derek and the dominoes to the byrds, hes king. i still listen to clapton constantly.

Here is a fantastic, almost newer Classic Rock Band. But they are more so a Jam Band of course.

North Mississippi Allstars.

They plays a crazy form of the blues. I have one sample if anyone would care.

i love all jam bands also. the dead, govt mule, allman bros. not so much phish but what can i do, everyone has the misconception that every metal head only listens to metal. i like alot more classic rock and prog rock.

To be fair, most metalheads only listen to metal. But lotss of them like other music.

Rock of Ages by the Band is great.

I think I'm starting to like Fresh Cream more than Disraeli Gears. I think Fresh Cream gets overlooked too much.

I'm hoping to get Festival Express for Christmas. I was reading a review and it said that it had an LSD influenced jam with Garcia and the guitar player from The Band. Supposedly he was so stoned Janis Joplin was asking him if he was okay :lol:

They were in The Yardbirds, but not at the same time. I believe it went Clapton, Beck, Page, but I'm not sure.

Actually I think they were in the band at the same time. Because Page played bass for them at a time. Meaning Beck was playing guitar.

I believe it was. Though they changed the song a lot. Changed the lyrics too. It wasn't so much as a cover as a re-creation.
