This guy ^ makes a very valid point

SylentEcho 09-13-2007 04:54 AM

anyone else like the new Evile album?

Squirrel 09-13-2007 04:55 AM

I've seen them live, they were really nice guys to meet too.

Shred Danson 09-13-2007 05:07 AM

Checkin' them out right now.

They are pretty badass. Pretty damn legit thrash band in my opinion.

Grumma 09-13-2007 05:11 AM

they sound like a toned down Slayer to some extent . . . but then again Ive only heard a couple of songs :p

Shred Danson 09-13-2007 05:23 AM

There's nothing wrong about that...If you're talking about Show No Mercy/Hell Awaits-era Slayer :p

They're way much better than Slayer, tbh

Dekapitator (another new thrash band) is just as good as Evile IMO

pate 09-13-2007 09:38 AM

Dekapitator sucks.

south_of_heaven 11 09-13-2007 10:08 AM

FatalEnergy 09-13-2007 01:29 PM

Sarcofago isnt much different...or much better

Stormrider 09-13-2007 02:25 PM

Sarcofago is amazing.

masterchaos 09-13-2007 02:29 PM

Not the songs I heard. There just wasnt any depth to them.

Im not saying it was completely unbearable, but amazing? Come on now.

Stormrider 09-13-2007 02:29 PM

Do you remember what songs you heard?

masterchaos 09-13-2007 02:31 PM

Alcohol Fist, Black Vomit, and somethin called INERI...Im not 100% sure on the names

Stormrider 09-13-2007 02:35 PM

INRI. That song rules, man. The entire album does.

Only one I've heard so far, though.

masterchaos 09-13-2007 02:37 PM

Well...agree to disagree.

True, that whole album is great.

Stoic 09-13-2007 04:39 PM

Since when are Sarcofago thrash?

TojesDolan 09-13-2007 05:15 PM

People in here tend to derail threads by name-dropping. :(

masterchaos 09-13-2007 08:58 PM
What was that first Sarcofago album with Sex, Drinks & Metal on it? I liked that when I had it in High School!

Did ya know that the singer/guitarist was in Sepultura before they recorded Morbid Visions?
Funny you say that because Morbid Visions was all I could think about when I listening to them. Guess he liked the production on that album (MV) too.

SylentEcho 09-14-2007 01:18 AM

The promo of the new Sodom album leaked and its freakin awesome! They sound as evil as ever!

pate 09-14-2007 07:09 AM

You mean the new old Sodom album?

I don't think I'm going to be checking it out for awhile.

SylentEcho 09-14-2007 09:06 AM

yeah, the old songs which they re-recorded for this new album. Its awesome.

pate 09-14-2007 09:32 AM

I don't want to take the chance of them ruining the songs.

Shred Danson 09-14-2007 09:36 AM

How the hell could they ruin the songs when they wrote them...I mean granted, new Sodom is kinda disappointing, but come on. It could be badass.

Metallica - Frantic \m/

Apocalyptic Raids 09-14-2007 09:38 AM

but In The Sign of Evil was great because it was sloppy, raw old-school black metal.

I shudder at the thought of that re-recording.

I know this, but I am a fan of good production. Even if it takes away from the "**** you"-ness of it. :-/

FatalEnergy 09-14-2007 02:25 PM

Actually it's quite good and doesn't sound far from the original.

It's way sloppy and it was recorded with analog equipment not digital

SylentEcho 09-14-2007 02:46 PM

"In The Sign of Evil" was totally wild and the production was ok for that time. Check out my review on it.

Edi Gibson 09-14-2007 09:28 PM

megadeth

Edi Gibson 09-14-2007 09:36 PM
what about 'em?
They are thrash.

Grumma 09-14-2007 09:47 PM

Washington Is Next is a good song

Angmar 09-14-2007 09:48 PM

Yeah, the best on the new album.
