i told ya Crooked Beat was awesome. they have great T-shirt selections too and apparently Ian MacKaye frequents it
Yeah, I didn't have enough money for a shirt but there were some cool ones. They had almost every other SY album but Sister, and I didn't know what any of their other good albums were (I already have Daydream Nation). So I'll probably just download it or get it off ebay.

YDload 11-10-2007 05:20 PM

they had Sister when i went there last but i didnt get it :(

Time 11-10-2007 05:26 PM

From what I've heard it's a really great album.

Oh yeah I forgot to ask you guys, is there any kind of program that I can use for a Mac that is similar to Exact Audio Copy? EAC is only for Windows apparently, and I don't want to resort to using iTunes crappy ripper which is what I've been using for all these years blindly.

ATM 11-10-2007 06:21 PM

I almost bought a Devo shirt from Crooked Beat.

Nevermind, I changed the preferences on importing. I don't know if Apple Lossless is worth it because the files are so damn big, but the bitrates are ridiculously high (one song is 719 kb/s). I'll try .wav, or maybe I'll just use the Higher Quality (256 kb/s) importing compression and just make them mp3 or AAC.

You guys see Beirut live and it'd change your mind I swear, the brass is so amazing.

Saw Youthmovies tonight...what a band :D amazing.

I went with a friend to see Beirut last monday, even though I'm not into it that much. And you're right, it was much much better than I imagined it being. It's not my thing musically, but I loved it live.

tonight i saw...Sunburnd Hand of the Man. Au contraire, I like their records but they're rather lame live. I wasn't in the mood.

Anxious 11-10-2007 08:16 PM

I imagine all they would be doing is messing around with knobs.

sweboy 11-10-2007 08:33 PM

I imagine all they would be doing is smashing various percussion randomly and shouting in high pitches.

My night:
Sorta awkward, somewhat fun, more awkward, very awkward, me being an asshole, good times, back at the dorms on MX.

poopie 11-11-2007 01:41 AM

why were you an asshole?

also are you in that phase where youre still sort of excited about college and the party scene but at the same time youre realizing its lame

asdf 11-11-2007 01:46 AM

I've always realized it's lame.

I was an asshole because I was on a "date" with this guy who was taking it more seriously than anticipated and was just beyond awkward. And usually I can deal with that, but it just became too much. I ditched him, went to a party, had a good laugh at all the drunk people. Called him and appologized.

poopie 11-11-2007 01:48 AM

hah awww poor guy

hheee liiiikkezzz zyyouuuuu

i saw american gangster with some friends. that was a really cool movie

okay 11-11-2007 04:18 AM

I drove around with my friend, snuck in the old high school at night and walked around. Watched a 45 year old professor get the chicks we were going to make a go for (no lie, he got their numbers then they left), drove around some more, got pancakes from IHOP and made friends with one of the graveyard shift waiters, threw around some old pipes we found laying around in the parking lot to find out later that they were coated in fiberglass, won a debate on global warming, secured a good alcohol hook-up, infiltrated some lame party that some 50 year old men were having, and smoked a whole pack of lucky strikes in the process. Better than any party assuredly.

Youngs 11-11-2007 08:41 AM

I had a beer with a friend, then suddenly we had had ten and I made 40 cigs dissapear. Today I feel awful.

Youngs 11-11-2007 08:44 AM

That video with Justin Timberlake and 50 Cent is on MTV now. I've never heard the track, and the video is very funny without sound. It's just 50 Cent saying something and looking mean, while Justin Timberlake stands right behind him making small bunny hops and doing some feminine moves with his hands. Stupid.

Neoteric 11-11-2007 09:31 AM

lol

ATM 11-11-2007 11:22 AM

I cleaned my whole apartment and made it look badass.

Then my buddy came over and we smoked, drank some beer and watched a Kung Fu movie.

One of my favorites actually:

"The Crippled Masters is a kung fu movie released in 1979. Filmed in Hong Kong, it is about two men—one without arms and another with withered legs—who develop kung fu abilities and fight their evil teacher, who made them disabled."

Oh, and I cooked some chicken that was so ****ing goood.

Aeaon 11-11-2007 11:55 AM

All I did this morning was hook some headphones to my computer and listen to my itunes music library and ate pancakes. It was righteous.

StaticSynth 11-11-2007 12:00 PM

All I did this music was sleep.

okay 11-11-2007 12:53 PM

All i did this music was night

Glitterati 11-11-2007 01:26 PM

Hedgedive 11-11-2007 02:53 PM

Boilermaker 11-11-2007 02:58 PM

That's what you get for trying to be black.

okay 11-11-2007 02:58 PM

ATM 11-11-2007 03:29 PM

Thanks 11-11-2007 03:34 PM

Sunburned hand of the man just did a wall of boring noise when I saw them live.
