Esoteric... now THAT's a Tool Thred Post!

Pu**** is the most beautiful Tool song in my opinion, and the fact that they improved it live is, to say the least, rediculous.
Thanks to you and Lateralias for your compliments, man.

And bow and thanks to you both deep thinkers.

Syncratic 07-12-2005 03:05 PM

Wow. Blair looks like my alcoholic uncle.

I think we should put the Morse Code in our titles.

Reflection is the most beautiful in my opinion, but Pu**** comes very close.

Not a problem!

Moses 07-12-2005 03:27 PM

Stop spamming so much.

Anyway lets talk about how we think the new album will sound atmospherically......

I think it may be Sci-Fiish and spacey.

I think that's a cool idea and I'd like to hear what Tool would do with that.

Alright, Moses!

I'm looking forward to listening to this in the middle of the night, just to let it all sink in.

I believe it will be more spacey and epic than any other album before it.

Good idea.
I agree, I think it will have a very Science-ish approach. Personally, I like that.

Syncratic 07-12-2005 03:32 PM

I can't wait to fall asleep to it, I wonder what kind of thoughts that might conjure up.

Dude3 07-12-2005 03:34 PM

Definately more spacey. Probably a very dark atmosphere. I hope the record does turn out to be really heavy. I'm sure it will be a very long, epic record too.
I have a feeling it will be their best record yet, or at least comparable.

Moses 07-12-2005 03:35 PM

It'll probably be heavier than all the albums, but a different kind of heavy than Opiate.

Syncratic 07-12-2005 03:35 PM

The heavyness will only compliment the amospheric sound of the new album. It just needs good track titles and a great album title. Tool haven't disappointed in the past, so I'm not worried about it.

Dude3 07-12-2005 03:37 PM
It'll probably be heavier than all the albums, but a different kind of heavy than Opiate.
Yeah. It will probably be something we haven't heard Tool really experiment in. I'm just wondering what it will be like.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-12-2005 03:37 PM

I think people are reading too much into Danny Carey's statement about how he's taking more cues from Tomas Haake of Meshuggah. Just because Meshuggah is heavier than Tool doesn't mean that's how they're going to transfer what they like about Meshuggah to Tool's own music.

deadohiosky9 07-12-2005 03:38 PM

I think it will definetly have that spacey feel to it. Heavy as well. They've been working long and hard on it, it must be amazing. I'm expecting it to be really epic and better than all their other albums, though Aenema will be hard to top.

Rothmans 07-12-2005 03:39 PM

They said it was gonna be heavier anyway.

They said touring with Meshuggah was like a kick in the teeth, and they might have added a little of their sound into it. They even said when they were jamming without Maynard things just started getting heavier.

He could do it.

It would be a shocking turn, and it would be hilarious as hell to see fans' reactions.

I don't think they would be that good at that. Maybe in their earlier days but not really after lateralus.

Like I kept saying Rap in weird time signatures is a great idea. :thumb:

Somebody want to start a new genre? Progressive Rap :amaze:

Moses 07-12-2005 03:54 PM

I thought of that a long time ago, and I live in the ghetto so I could probably get it started.

Mr Herb 07-12-2005 04:07 PM
