NoMeansNo.

I've had two songs from Wrong for a while now and they are just fucking fantastic, but I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to find a copy of the album anywhere. :(
It's basically impossible, I think.

Little Man being Erased 02-02-2006 07:22 PM

That's exactly what I'd feared.

Bartender 02-02-2006 07:23 PM

I got my copy in HMV. It was on sale and everything.

Zappa 02-02-2006 07:28 PM

New York Dolls - Too Much, Too Soon

I'm in a sleazy, brainless mood. So this fits.

Ah, so maybe all hope is not lost...

Stiff Little Fingers - Inflammable Material

Think The Sex Pistols, only good!

Daniel! 02-02-2006 08:37 PM
Good luck finding it.

/owns it
Dischord webstie and amazon both have it. I'm pretty sure you don't have to pay shipping if you buy straight from Dischord.

Good, it's about time you listened to something worth while.

Which two songs? I have "Big Dick," "Rags and Bones," and "Oh No Bruno!" The last two came from Zappa :)

pixiesfanyo 02-02-2006 09:01 PM

Blood on the Tracks.

Yums.

pixiesfanyo 02-02-2006 09:03 PM
is it relatively hard to find? Because it sounds pretty crunk.
no.

Jawaharal 02-02-2006 09:03 PM

Anybody have any Dim Star albums? I only have a couple songs but I dig em.

I have "It's Catching Up" and "The End of All Things." Man, they're so great.

I highly doubt either of them can match up to "Big Dick" though.

... oh man we need that album so bad :upset:

PS: Dinosaur Jr.- The Wagon is a great song. I wish sr800bk would show up because he's the resident DJ superfan as far as I know. Maybe someone else can tell me of even better songs.

Down load the album Bug if you can.

moderaterock222 02-02-2006 09:20 PM

i dug up a corpse earlier..freaky stuff
YDload thinks sr8kb0b0b0ok is the Dino Jr. superfan, but obviously it's me.

Get Bug first and follow it up with You're Living All Over Me. By far the two classics.
I like the way you think sometimes.

I knew you were in the mix too. But the songs I like the most from their best-of collection just happen to be on the album Green Mind, which was after their independent years and supposedly after their best efforts.

So... should I just download "Thumb" and "The Wagon" while sticking with those two albums as purchases?

asymm 02-02-2006 10:25 PM
Soundscapish post-punk. They sound like Chameleons UK, and the singer is terrible. Great music though.
I really enjoy the vocalist, personally.

Wilderness has a new album out on 4/11, Link. It's quite solid, but none of the songs stick with some of the catchiness/power of the debut. I mean, the debut took three years to make and this took about a year. I've still greatly enjoyed it because I just really like their overall sound.

nyltiak 02-03-2006 01:25 AM

Deerhoof, and Boris. Simply Saucer too, though not quite as much.

How could they? What with a title like that. (and an obvious choice for download huh?)

I feel the pain. :upset:
Deerhoof
My bro's band is supporting them when they come to Australia.

xizoesira 02-03-2006 02:24 AM

Today I realized just how cool Afrirampo is.
My bro's band is supporting them when they come to Australia.
Gah, I hate this country sometimes. I had only just gotten over the fact that I wouldn't get to see Deerhoof and now you tell me this. Tapey should give me a VIP pass or something. Or two so I can go with my uncle.

YDload, "The Wagon" is the best Dino Joonya song easily.

Tomahawk 02-03-2006 08:22 AM

I listened to the first 6 Black Sabbath albums today. All still awesome.

Now listening to Serge Gainsbourg, but only because that's the only CD I have in here and I can't be bothered getting another.

BillCosby 02-03-2006 12:23 PM

Make Believe - Shock Of Being
Sleater-Kinney - Dig Me Out

biografiend 02-03-2006 12:56 PM

Xiu Xiu
Lisa Loeb
Nick Drake
Murder by Death

I found a sweet cover of Xiu Xiu doing Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car". Good stuff.
Carl Barats new band right
I hope not. Certainly, he wasn't involved in Inflammable Material.

I've been dig dig diggin':

Erik Petersen - Bellingham & Philadelphia
The Fall - Live at the Witch Trials
Fear - American Beer
Refused - Shape of Punk to Come
